Under the "magical minute"

So I've been trying to get my Mazda 787b round Deep Forest in under a minute but I think Ive hit my "tallent wall"

The best time I ever managed was 1:00.964 but that was before 2.08 update stopped you using the concrete section.

I cant remember the exact setting I used for that lap and I know it didnt come easy.

My 787b now has 10,725.4 miles on it (all a-spec) and after engine rebuild tops out at 894bhp and since the update I cant get it round under 1:01.xxx

Was wondering if anybody could try and get this car round this track in under a minute.

Edit: Using a ds3, abs1 and have played with TC on off and usually set it to 3 all other aids off.

Decided to give this a try. After about 45 minutes, got a 59.786. No aids except ABS 1. Probably could do better with more track time but really not that concerned, just wanted to see if I could indeed get it in under a minute. Here is your screen shots. Sorry no video as I have no way of making one nor do I know how. Had to borrow a camera as it is.

Thanks for that cargo, I knew it was me at fault and my level of skill

Was your car new but broken in? or was it a war veteran like mine?

You're joking right? lol

Where you using a wheel?

There should be a lot of players who can give it a go under a whole minute(especially those who regularly come around the top position in every contest) and some of them will even do the trick under a predicament of using a pad or joysticks. :sly:

Agree. It wasn't really that hard once I got the car dialed in and became more familiar with the track as I don't run this track alot. Like I said, I probably could do alot better myself if I were to put more time in it. Pretty sure my "alien" friends could do it well under the minute mark.

Well thanks for taking the time to do this and post pics, I know that this challenge is nowhere near impossible and maybe not even challenging for some but it is for me.

I've stopped even looking at the Nordschleife Lap Times thread as it's far too depressing. Something you have to accept in this community is that, in most cases, there's just going to be someone faster than you. No offence intended, just advice to avoid disappointment. ;)

There is also this saying that "No matter how good you are at something, there is always a million people better at it." :)

I will give this magical minute a try when I get the time.

No problem. If you have the time or are serious about becoming a good racer, just keep practicing and stay dedicated. I currently practice about 6 hours a day. I remember a time when I couldn't even break 1000 on the seasonal TT leaderboards. Now I'm consistantly between 100 to 150th place with a best of 27th. It hasn't been easy for me and the hardest part is still ahead. (breaking into the top 10) Keep at it my friend and your skill progress will improve. Peace.
