UNITEDrift team thread! ..(D-TRICK)..

just think we need to make U-D-T meetings more easy to no when they are, so we have more guys on line at the same time!
i no that alot of the guys or on most nights but not in the same room?

Yeah I agree, was thinking about it the other day, we have about 10-14 propper members that are on regular but rarely all get in the same server, with 10-14 good regular members in one room we could get some good team pratice/battles in and team photo's from the replays :) .

Also I think HMS is away :/

away for good :0 or just waiting to get a new ps3?

I'M BACK!! Sorry lads got a new PS3 a few weeks ago but then spent a week in NYC and Paris with work, then have had subsequent campaigns to manage since!

However, I am now back and im not going anywhere! Got back in the driving seat last night and I don't appear to be too rusty.

Will see y'all tonight i'm sure?
 
started the battle thread beefore but in tired going to bed lol il finish it tomorrow.

ther will be 6 members and 1 back up for this event and i want to host a team battle to see who the 6 members are insted of just having the battle ready team all the time??

I have a site running parallel with the main site, on a free host.

Currently at dtrick.tk (i will make it unitedrift.tk when its finished).

The forum won't be so quirky, it will be a bit like this one, full width and simple etc etc.

No gallery but posting pics using links from flikr to a photo forum on there will be fine.

It's basically working, the forum is anyway, and that is the only thing we actually use so if Jimmy can get on there and I'll give admin rights so you can help shape the forums again ? :)
(copy and paste from old site would work for long posts that are important)

The site profile doesn't work , I have contacted the hosts, it is their fault, they are blocking the term "MSN Messenger" lol , I found where to change it, but that causes errors xD

I'm leaving now anyway, wont be back till later tonight. May as well change site address to unitedrift. No reason why we cant use it now. Will do it later.

Also just to clarify... We had to change hosts because I was using my mates host for free to have a bash at web design. He contacted me yesterday saying I will have to change to my own hosting now. The free hosting we have on the new site looks good ! Except the msn word block thing but I looked that up and have found the 100% fix.

The old site was too dark. Didn't portray colour scheme. The layout was too thin. Had Black text bug. Used complicated framework (loaded slower)
Also couldn't make rest of site look consistant due to wacky design.

No point on going to the team site tonight, everything is changing over to the new unitedrift.tk site , will be fine tomorrow, due to an unforeseen complication the 3 that have registered will have to re-register, no biggy really to be honest.

The forum on the site will be down tomorrow but the home page and clio sections will be up (was able to use FTP of dtrick domain to get that much back onto the site before it shut me out, waiting for unitedrift domain to start action, then I can complete it xD )

Wilson & I were talking last night and I am going to run the team comp.

We are going to do it as single run qualifying at Tsukuba scored out of 100. Each driver gets three runs and the highest scoring run is what's counted. Meaning you can **** up twice and be ok.

Judges will be Jimmy & Myself with Welsh & Wilson as backup judges.

Rules are standard:
Spin = 0 points
4 Wheels off = 0 points
FR Only
Comfort Hard etc

Will be following Formula D judging rules and you will be marked on Speed, Line, Angle and Style. Judges Decision is final.

After we have done the qualifying we will have an organised battle competition which won't mean anything but will be good for practice and a bit of fun!

Also worth noting NO-ONE is safe from elimination so that way it is completely fair.

I propose that we do one of these qualifying sessions after every second battle so that we can mix it up a bit and everyone gets a shot at being in the primary team.

I can't really think of how to make this any more fair but suggestions are welcome.
 
I wasnt aware we had recruited anyone new since Gonales joined? We are running at full capacity at the moment hence why we are having to organise these battles so not actively recruiting.

I'm sorry if you have already been accepted into the team I'm just not aware of it if you have!!

ok hms im cool with that. i wont be running as this is a new team and i want our members who havent blasted round to get a chance :) new team new faces to meet :) we all kinda know each other from other teams so will be better to get the other guys in :D

im cool with judging, out of 100? basically divide up between 25% for each criteria?.. :)

Thats good of you mate, I would also step down but I need the battle experience atm!! I'l PM you on PSN later with the full details of the 100 score, not quite 25% each, il explain tonight
