First leg done, couple half spins but kept it clean.

Started well Leg 1, but the next stages were not good for me:banghead:
Lost much time on the second stage, and in the fourth one made false start, but loved the stage anyways:D.
Now lets see what the rest of the competitors have to show

Loving seeing some of the runs coming in now and photos of everyone on the stages. Looking forward to starting my run soon!

Some mega livery work going on too  Still wish there was a way we could share liveries on console!

My livery for this season, inspired by Matt Edwards BRC 2021 TPS Yuasa livery.

Brilliant!
What a blast from the (not-so-long-ago) past! I'd completely forgotten about this car somehow!

Even though I photographed it a few times 🤦‍♂️

How could you forget! I always think of this interview with Howard Davies talking to Osian Pryce when he rolled into a pig farm during a visit to MEM 😄

Made it to the end of the rally.
In the 6th stage made a mistake that seriously damaged my car :(
Luckily managed to get the car through the rest of the LEG and for now putting myself in P5. Now I need to wait and see the others

Took about a dozen hours or thereabouts but I managed to put together a replica for Garry Pearson's Fiesta. It was a more relaxing experience than I initially envisioned, done over 3 or 4 sessions listening to a couple mixes in the background:

There were a couple teething issues (side livery isn't quite a like-for-like) and the front wheel arches were a NIGHTMARE to work around but overall I'm quite happy with how it turned out. That said I'm still not sure what the primary colour is, I've seen a few photos and they differ from solid black to a very dark indigo or racing green...

As for the opening event, I had a few whacks and bangs during the 1st run through (managed to squeeze 56 minutes of repairs into 43:40 at service) but I managed to find the groove in the wet:

Strong drive, congrats. I‘ve been too careful in the wet :grumpy:

I will take a swing at this. I don't play career and mostly avoid tarmac and stick to slower cars, and the other clubs I'm in don't use DLC, so a bunch of this will be pretty new to me so it's a good excuse to discover some more of the game.

I haven't driven WRC2 much, have only ever done 1 stage in Spain, don't think I've ever run Central Europe, only done 1 very short stage in Poland, and only done Corsica once in a Kadett so I'm sure it will be a totally different experience in a modern car.

My inexperience being considered I'm just going to run the Toyota and not feel too bad about it, as it's the only one I have any affinity for but I've not really had the chance to drive it for anything since the DLC came out. I whipped up a generic livery for it with my regular team silver/black:

I jumped in blind with no practice/testing and my run went as expected. For some reason I selected soft tyres and they were shot half way through the second stage. Tried to soldier on through the 3rd but understeered off every other corner. Thankfully a ravine claimed me and put me out of my misery.

First leg had a silly bonk with a little rock that required reverse in the first stage, second stage I had a few clumsy slides in the way that makes me not enjoy tarmac much, as I felt fine right up until the slide, no early indication I was at the edge of grip or anything, and not the kind of minor slide where I can just let throttle and AWD sort it out... but not much time lost in the slides, a little time lost in confidence though. I took softs and thought I was starting to feel them letting go in the rain, but managed a surprisingly good time in the fourth stage and tires said they were still just "worn" at the end.

Second leg went just okay, few minor mistakes that were a little frustrating because of how simple they were, few spots where I was too careful. The heavy rain stage was brutal, I think I've only driven in heavy rain in the Vauxhall Nova where you are going so slow it doesn't matter, probably should have switched to hood cam for that one or something.

This is my first rally game with the wheel and it feels good to make some progress. Early on when I'd make a silly minor mistake I'd often get frustrated and overdrive into another mistake and then lose focus and it would go all to hell, but at least I'm getting to the point where I can refocus and carry on.

Managed to do my run a few days ago, but never had time to type anything up!

Leg 1
I felt fairly comfortable in the Hyundai after a bit of pre-season testing, arguably more comfortable in the dry than the wet so I was keen to capitalise on that. Had a fairly decent start (for me!) and seemed to be pinging back and forth with @bozian on the leaderboards. The split times make for some entertaining watches on Racenet!

SS4 saw my un-doing really, a over optimistic cut near the end of the stage span me round so I lost a good chunk of time there.

Leg 2
I struggled to find a confident rhythm in the wet and shed a fair chunk of time, especially on the heavy rain stage where visibility was tricky on my usual interior camera. Headed into the final stage only a fraction behind P2.

I ended up pushing really hard on the final stage, I was liking the slightly damp conditions but ended up understeering near the church and going straight into a signpost. Didn't do much damage but but easily lost a good handful of seconds 😅

Ah well! An enjoyable start to the campaign despite a few hairy moments. Really looking forward to the next round! Enjoyed the battle with @bozian too

Well done @Dreadmed 👏. Happy with P6 with the errors made.

It was great to see all the images and content from the first round. Can't wait to see what people can capture from Round 2!

Was also really positive to see such a range of cars competing, I was really worried this would just end up full of GR Yaris' as a the popular weapon of choice, so it's really refreshing to see a wide range of cars being used!

Enjoyable but scruffy first leg. Generally decent pace but the Polo was a little bit snappy under braking and wasn't always responsive to correction so will need to have a look at the setup for the next legs. Had a couple of excursions including a trip across grass behind a spectator area but no damage done.
