Which racing games did gtsport have more content when released?
Quite a few, generally it's only Forza titles and past GT games that have considerably more. At launch GT Sport had 162 cars, thats one hundred and sixty two, and it had 39 tracks over 17 locations.

The Crew 2 had 114 cars at launch, only a couple of tracks al be it they were integrated into a huge world map.

V-Rally 4 had 51 cars at launch.

Need for Speed: Payback has 71 cars.

The list goes on. I think Project Cars 2 had more at launch and Forza, obviousely did but if you think 162 cars and 39 tracks is poor that's because you based your expectation on past GT Titles.

You don’t know what caveat emptor means do you?

Anyway, see y’all in February speculation.
I clearly do, it's right there in the post you quoted
That's your personal issue with not knowing what the game was at launch.

It can't be anyone else's responsability to ensure you know what type of game you're buying.

I recall that it downloads the small patch, then creates a Duplicate of the existing file, as the patch is applied..
So technically, I think you need 1x as much free space as the current version of the game takes up.
I think that is 98gb currently..

the download is pretty quick, it is the applying of the patch that takes some time, as it makes that 2nd copy.

Once the patch is applied and the checksum / hash code matches
the old game file is deleted, and replaced by the new patched one.
After trying about 5 minutes the download start really dont know what the problem.

Just had a chance to do some laps on Route X......overall it looks pretty good, but rather minor updates since GT6. They added some more sailboats, that’s nice.

What isn’t nice though, is the god damn obnoxious Gran Turismo banners all along the side of the track by the airport and through the long tunnel. These were my two favourite photo locations on this track, especially the tunnel, and these banners completely ruin it :(. PD has always had a knack for ruining a good view with a stupid billboard.

I was watching the waves across the front of the ship, So detailed.

Some quick thoughts driving a few of the road cars on Alsace as I always do
- TVR loves to fishtail, quite a handful, but fun
- They nailed the pocket rocket feel of the Type R. Was kind of disappointed that the dashboard clock seems to be a graphic.
- Dino handles pretty well for an old Ferrari, but rather slow. The V6 engine sounds not great, really digital sounding.
- Didn't buy the Porsche even though I love the 356. Hard to justify a million credits for a 109hp car
- Took the Ferrari Gr.3 on SS Route X, I got tired of holding down the accelerator halfway through. I do like the banked section, but that track is not for me. top speed in the Ferrari was 182mph.

- Cooper S engine pitch at rev limit is still way off, come on PD
- Still no night TOD on Le Mans. I still can't get over how the most iconic 24h track has no night TOD, unbelievable that PD would deem it unnecessary.
- Frankly I'm tired of all these road cars, I want updated/new Gr.3 and Gr.4 cars.

I noticed a plane landing. And now I can't recall if that was in GT6, because if it was then man I'm unobservant!!

To put this into perspective... (not necessarily 100% accurate)

Group 1: 14 cars.
Group 3: 29 cars. Not counting the duplicate M6.
Group 4: 27 cars.

The average F1 game has something like 15 cars - the normal 10 teams and a couple of extras. Even at launch every racing car class of GT Sport had the equivalent of that, Gr3 and Gr4 even doubling the figure. And nobody complains about the F1 games because "that's the way it's meant to be".

unbelievable PD , between stage route 5 and X they had to choose the worst one

It isn't the worst .. it's simply not the suitable one for this type of GranTurismo, at the moment this is my opinion .

Me: Hey, TVR would be a nice car for Premium Sports Lounge

*priced at 95.000 Cr*

Me: AH COME ON, REALLY!?

Other than that, car-wise, the update is great. Track is kinda mediocre for me, but still

P.S. I think Ferrari Dino has the widest colour choice of all the cars in GTS. Anyone can confirm?

I think this is the first time I haven't been having positive feelings for track content, but I have a theory that it may actually bring some benefits looking more long-term. SSRX may have been the single most popular track in GT5 and 6's open lobbies, being just about the perfect location for drag races, and being a good catch-all for people who just wanted to screw around or do their own made up "game modes". The return of this track could bring back a lot of players that were uninterested or otherwise alienated by GTS's online/esports focus, and over time turn a few more players towards Sport Mode.

It's really not a great track for any sort of esports competition, but an expansion of "things to do" in any game will always have positive results.

I rather wait for the live event for the cool new stuff. Since they alway have save the best one for the live event. I will keep the eye on that one the most.

Definately wasn't from the time I spent there.

I don't know, the Aston Martin DB11 seems to have colors I didn't even know existed for miles

More disappointed they didn't fix the Gr.4 and Gr.1 BOP (even though they're un-bop-able due to reasons), it seems Gr.3 is the premiere category to PD.

And tbh, Route X doesn't phase me but if they gave us a road course of some sort for it (remember the teasers and such from 5/6?) I'd be more than happy with the update. But overall I'm content and glad PD continues to give us free monthly updates :)

Well didn't expect Route X to return.

But hey at least it's a new track.

Gonna be fun doing drag meets, top speed runs, maybe a new place for online car show lobbies, and finally can do a proper Tomahawk X custom race.

Just waiting for someone to do this now in GTS.

Aah the track that had no wind resistance. Must be based in the planet Kaz is from....

The Matching Regions for Daily Races will be returned to 3 regions.
Daily races had been matched in 5 separate regions in a recent change, but these will be returned to three regions of Europe/Middle East/Africas, North/Central/South Americas, and Asia/Oceania regions. However the online “FIA Gran Turismo Championship” will continued to be matched in 5 separate regions.

Feels good racing against the asian region again and getting a full grid. Also we get to keep our new FIA timeslots.

Man I'm glad that the Porsche isn't priced at 20 mill.

One thing I would love them bringing back is the "hold the gear with L1(?)". So many cars drop one gear to much in corners, especially the 911 Gr3.
"Just go manual". Sure, but with a pad that sucks, and my wheel doesn't work with ps4.

Hoping they’ll add a similar on/off toggle for that “suggested gear indicator” too. However, looking at the lack of discussion on that topic I’m guessing I’m the only one bothered by it... (^^;;
I think you are the only one:lol:
