Did anyone try if you can win the pre-1979 racecar events with the new Aston? As it's "only" 10Mio cr., I might buy it someday just for these events.

Yes. It's an insanely easy car to drive even fully tuned. I've won with 330s starting in 3rd and in 4th with room to spare and I'm not a terribly fast driver. As long as you don't mess up majorly more than once you can win with the Aston.

My contribution to the update thread :-)

BMW Z8
Not sure if its the new tire model or not (only tried new cars since update), but this car felt amazing to drive. Turns in beautifully, and if you do push it too far, it's easy to control a slide. Real sharp handling. And the engine is a peach, feels like there's torque everywhere. I drove it on Tokyo South Outer Loop and it felt like it had so much more to give by the end of the straight. And boy is it sexy, especially in black at night

*Halfway through, there's another lap with onboard footage as the main video.

Honda Integra Type R
Literally like driving a baby NSX in FF form. Handles nice for an FF, and deals with the understeer well. Very sharp and pointy as long as you don't overcook it too much - rear rotates nicely under braking also. Engine is of course exciting, but I did struggle to make it up the hill on the front straight of Horse Thief Mile (insert VTEC joke here)... had to downshift mid-corner.

I also tried the TVR at the end, but that is a tough car to drive (hard understeer on turn-in, snap oversteer that's hard to control) so I called it a night. Can't wait to try out that, and the 350Z tonight. Think I'm gonna take the Z around Red Bull Ring.

You beat me to it! 👍 Took snaps of a close call and video

After landing safely, it went straight to its hanger

This is the only interesting thing about the track:lol: It has two runways now; I don't think that was in GT5 or GT6...

Where's this?

The update trailer even focuses on the inner field:

¿USA location? What a joke. Somewhere in Russia or Korea would be more feasible.
No, we didn't get the alternate layout...

just bought the Dino and is really nice to drive, pretty smooth and controllable, not a powerhouse at all, but nice for a relaxing drive. Cant wait to win(ever gonna happen?) the aston...

I'll admit I'm warming up to SSRX at this point... the actual layout of the track still personally bores me to tears but the stunning scenery that surrounds it makes up for it, especially at night.

Speaking of which, the Alpine VGT (non-Race Mode) is a pretty solid car to take around SSRX in the Vision GT Trophy event, if anyone's struggling with that.

I saw one of the facts from that year things that comes up in the main menu about Celine Dion releasing the Titanic song in 1997. I don't think I'd seen that one before. Or maybe I wasn't paying attention. Some of those facts are pretty random.

That one has been showing up forever. Not only is the museum very random, it's also missing things far more relevant than Celine Dion and cloned sheep.

Not strictly related to the update. But does anyone know if you create a new account and go through the circuit experience again.

Is there the potential to win all the cars that have been added to the game (DLC) or is it fixed to something from the original line-up of cars?

It works this way: First we have a huge '1997' - for example - along with a news related to automotive world. Then we have a cultural fact from 1997 to contextualize with what was happening in the world on that especific date.

It's possible. On my other account I did a set of driving school events and it almost awarded me the Miura but instead it gives me a 512BB.

I had to laugh yesterday when I went to drive the Dino in the Ferrari GT League event and found it wasn't eligible... :banghead::lol:

Checked it out today... Apparently Kaz belongs to those people who don't consider Dino a true Ferrari

On a serious note tho, what a waste. Pathetic :grumpy:

EDIT: Just noticed that Dino isn't eligible for Midship Challenge events aswell despite being MR... What the hell PD?

Thanks for the reply. I'm thinking of 'gambling' a new game to try and get one of (or more!) the following expensive cars in the game.

XJ13 - 20 million
250 GTO - 20 million
Ford MK IV - 20 million
Miura - 15 million
Daytona - 15 million
TZ2 - 10 million
DB3S - 10 million

I've never won any of them so far... But it might be less painful than waiting for a whole day to pass before I can enter the lottery again.

For any person who is in trouble with the League VGT event in the Special Stage Route X, the perfect car to win is Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo

As a piece of advice, don't use the same car for the Tokyo Expressway race, at least on the Sports Softs equipped by default. The most unpredictable understeery-drifty-brakeless car imaginable. Very fast though, I won the race by some 35 seconds but couldn't push it at all because it would just veer into whichever direction it wanted to.
