On the debate of the Mercedes Benz 300 SEL 6.3 I can pretty much confirm it to be a RACE car variant:
On the quote of @Volksauto

There is a 3rd:
You can clearly see a windshield banner.. as far as I am concerned no road car (except if you put one yourself :P) has a windshield banner.

So it must the race car:

On the road car itself:

Yes its a 1968 version but it is just to show my point since the 1971 does not look completely different either.

So there you have it...
I edited the brightness of the photo and you can even make out the deep dish wheels just like the race car.
The lights even show up better aswell.
I'm 100% sure the roadcar doesn't have the mentioned lights or deepdish rims.

With PD adding historical AMG models like this, I have much more hope that someday we'll finally have a true CLK-GTR on Playstation.

The current Mazda Atenza road car in GT S is a diesel. A bunch of Audi LM racecars in GT 5, 6 and Sport are also diesels. So it'd be quite far from the first diesel since the 120d.
Thought the Atenza was a petrol. Plus, the 120d was in GT4-6 & GTPSP. Making it like I said, first diesel since the 120d.

Edit: Just looked up the Atenza. That's cool it's the diesel. Shame it has no performance advantage like what the 120d had.

I didn't expect the 300sel race car, not that I'm complaining.

It's kinda neat to see a Mazda Demio in GT again, it'll give the Fit and Mito a playmate.

My biggest concern with a Mazda Demio is the possibility it comes in some city-eco version like the recently added Honda Fit. That was abysmal when an RS version exists.

Suzuki Swift also deserves a mention.

Seriously. The car's huge. Good contender for Gordini, lightweight VS power. Peace ✌️
They'd be in the same or similar class correct? A vintage touring car class?

With the 4 cars now "out there" and the widespread belief on here that Spa will appear this month (especially as it's in the current intro for the game!), it's time for another game of "Guess the new GT League races and events"...

The cars dont easily bring to mind for me many clues as to new events. They could deem to add a new Beginner Event for the Demio and others of its ilk such as the Swift (which would increase the usefulness of these cars in the GT League) but I dont see that as being likely at this stage of the game.

I think the Mercedes 300 SEL will fit into the Amateur Nostalgia events as a GR.X race car and I anticipate the potential for 2 new races in the Amateur and Professional Nostalgia events to include Spa and perhaps Tokyo wet. There could also be a hotlap with this car at Spa to follow.

Based on prior electric cars, the Taycan will also be GR.X. I can't see how it can fit into the GT League though, as it's not going in the Boxer event, so I suspect this is another car that ends up in a one make "Daily" race online next month and a hotlap too, without actually featuring in GT League.

Last car is the Lamborghini which fits into the Lamborghini event obviously (well duh!).

For other events, there is usually 2 new races added to a Beginner event. With the GR Supra cup finishing this weekend, I am reminded that the Supra event still only has 3 races, as does the Rotary event.

So, I predict:

2 new races in Beginner Supra Event, one at Tokyo wet.
2 new races in Amateur Nostalgia event, with one at Spa and one at Tokyo wet.
2 new races in Professional Nostalgia event, at the same locations.
2 new races in the Lamborghini event, with one at Spa and maybe the other at Red Bull wet.
1 new Endurance race in the Porsche event at Spa.

NOTE - I haven't referred to the Jaaaaaaag VGT as it's not confirmed to arrive this month. If it does arrive, I think there will be 2 new races in a Vision GT event. With reported specs of around 600hp, I'm not sure whether this fits into the Amateur or Professional branding.

I think there would be a hotlap for the Jaaaaaaag too, possibly at the Grand Prix version of the Brands Hatch course.

I feel an "Electric Circuits" event in Amateur League would be a good way to showcase the Taycan (even if it does end up thrashing the i3 and Tesla like crazy).

The X2019 Endurance could get an Endurance at Spa this time around since so far, all two races in the X2019 Endurance correspond to the Nations Cup Finals this year. Autopolis referencing the Paris World Tour final and Sardegna referencing the Nurburgring World Tour final. Spa I believe was the venue for the New York final so that's why I believe that's up next.

Real Circuit Tours could benefit from a Spa race as well and maybe the Mercedes Grand Prix too.

I second an RCT event at Spa. I'd guess another Kei car event. Maybe one or two more Gr.4 races.

This update really captures the essence of Gran Turismo. We have an everyday hatchback, an historic race car, an electric sports sedan and a modern supercar. All of which are making their debut in the series. What more could you ask for?

What more could you ask for? Well, 4K enhanced models of former premium and standard models combined with new cars. That’s how it usually works, and I honestly prefer that formula over all new cars across the board. Balance better than bias.
