Too bad the EVO 7.5 came out at the wrong time.
I think the next Evolution will be EVO 9 and it will be no longer on a Lancer (Cedia) platform, maybe it will be based on the Colt platform which it will take decades to be bought here in the US.
Looks like I've read the future (almost) about the USDM WRX STi:

Looks-wise, I prefer the FTO over the Lancer.
....Lol..Seriously I love EVo's to death...It's actually one of my life goals to own an Evo VI....but..The evo VIII is just an ugly piece of crap......I don't care if it's turning radius is like .09508504830590439054930 micro meters smaller than any other evo....It's intercooler is crap...it's interior is an eye sore..it's stock sound system is a joke...And it's just UGLAH

The GTO wasnt produced by Mitsubishi and sent her as USDM, The GTO was sent here by HSV, Holden Specialty Vehicles in Oz. Holden is the Oz version of Chevrolet!

Up until gran turismo came out, I didnt know that mitsubushi called the 3000gt the GTO. Theres no reason to make fun of someone just bc they dont know something that you do. Its not 'common street knowledge', so instead of being rude and laughing, just say it and move on. Anyways, have you ever driven an EVO VIII? The handeling is phenomenal and the steering is quite a bit more...i dont know how to say this......real... than many of the upper end cars that ive ever driven. How is the intercooler a joke anyway? It does its job doesnt it? They built the car knowing that people were going to modify it. In the big brochure i got about it there was an entire page and in quotes it said...well, ill just scan the picture. Anyway, looks wise....that evolution. Its not an amazingly drastic change from 7, but if you dont like the differences, then oh well. Some like it, some dont. But weather u like it or not, it IS the only evo that we have in the US, so lets get used to it.

First of all, the 2.5L STI is already rated as a better car than the EVO all around... and faster around a track. So there you go, the american EVO had its moment of glory for like 2-3 days lmao.
And second of all, to all you people who think that an EVO is better than an M3 or an M5 or 911, I just have to say you guys are crazy, or really don't know much of what you are talking about. Nothing will ever beat the european cars. I laugh at almost everything Japan comes out with. Their cars look like Nintendo games. No sense of styling whatsoever. The worst part is when I see a japanese car commercial, and they say it has european design. Does that mean they acknowledge the fact that they are no good at designing cars, and that they have to continuously keep copying europeans? More proof of this can be seen by looking at a european model of a Japanese car, and its American counterpart. ( America always get the crappier ones if you dont get my point ). They have to try much much harder for the european market, specifically because europe has the better cars.
And that test drive of the 350Z being quicker than an M3 and 911, that is complete nonsense. We should send Tiff Needell ( The guy from Top Gear ) an e-mail and ask him what drives better around a track, and which is the funner car between a 350Z, M3, 911 and EVO. Personally I think he would ignore such an e-mail, as it seems like the person who wrote it has absolutely no knowledge of cars. Another possibility is that he would laugh at it. And if he feels he should reply, he would give this order of preference: 911, M3, EVO, 350Z.
If all of you would have the chance to actually drive an M3, or even a 330, you would realise how crappy these Japanese cars really are. Til then, have fun being ignorant and thinking that EVO's are supreme. Once again LMAO.

thank you for your quick reply Josh. Its just that the 's' word was very appropriate in the sentence I wanted to use it in. Its just not the same without it.. I guess I could replace it by "Does that mean they acknowledge the fact that they are no good at designing cars?" But there is no more impact

I know what you mean.
Sometimes a certain word adds just the right amount of emphasis to the point you're trying to make, but you can't use it because it's censored. You just have to work with the words which aren't censored.
It bugs me too sometimes!
The Subaru STI isn't some crazy marvel of machinery either..IT's a Modified Imprezza RS Motor With a non-wide used Turbo..And the gearbox will DEFINATLY be able to withstand the power..The question is will the rest of the drivetrain?...And as far as the Evo VIII..all I have to say is Poor poor Mitsu...Even if Mitsu underates it's cars DRAMATICALLY the 280HP Evo VIII is probably 310-315 in actuallity....but the car itself is just too big..It can't hang with the smaller more nimble STi
