Used dealership cars mileage is changing over night?

the price and mileage on cars all seem bogus too. Like why are there a **** load of cars with 50k+ miles vs under 10k, under 5k miles?
I say the same when I visit the real online used car marketplace. Only 2% of the used cars currently on sale there have travelled under 10k miles, while 70% of them have travelled more than 50k miles. Why is that? 🤔

First time I noticed this today as I bought the white Countach 25th Anniversary. Now it’s available in grey/silver. Hope this change sticks around. Never thought I’d be bothered about different colours!

Hopefully this is a sign something is being worked on for car selling. I’d love them to start adding tuned cars. Would probably need a separate UCD or some way differentiate stock vs tuned models.

I just bought one of the "new" classic Minis in the UCD and noticed the PP was 14 points higher than the higher mileage Mini I already had bought earlier. So not only does the mileage and colour change, but price and PP to suit the mileage. 👌

Two things could be affecting what you see in the garage:

  • Your usage of the higher-mileage garage Mini.
  • GT7 does not recalculate PP for cars you previously used after a global PP update until you get into them again, and the last update was a global PP update. If you used that Mini before late October and didn't since, the garage will still show the pre-update PP, not the post-update PP, until you get into the car again.
Tonight's mileage (and possibly color; I don't keep track of color) changes affected the last 20 cars, including 2 cars that sold out.

Ah, good point. I bought the higher mileage one last month but haven't used it. PP was 251. New purchase is lower miles but shows 264 PP. I'll check the PP of the older one next time I'm on.

At this point, why not just give a color option like in Brand Central?
I do like the idea of checking the UCD each day or two. Strange as it sounds, there's a sense of accomplishment finding exactly the model and colour you want. I would make a few changes however. I'd increase the size of the UCD, maybe split them into different lots specialising in older classics, tuned cars etc. Even something as simple as changing the background image on cars so it looks like you're browsing Autotrader.

I'd also like a mobile app that allows me to do tasks like buying & selling cars, viewing galleries & liveries. Also tuning & modifying cars.

Definatley a reson to check more often now. I can never have enough Trans Am's in black.
Every time I see the Subaru Impreza Coupe WRX typeR STi version VI '99 in the used car lot I buy it. It's the reason I own a current gen STi in real life, the reason I got into racing games in general. Loved that car in GT2 to death.

I did notice in GT Auto you can remove all spoilers and basically recreate a mid-90's Impreza. So I will try to recreate a Group A replica. Just need to find out which gold wheels it used and the exact shade of '555' blue.

I believe the overnight changes are caused by a glitch.
This time, that might be it. They've recently changed UCD to also have cars change colors, but there's probably a value in code that does it to every car every day instead of only the cars that appear as new for the day.

Arthur Daley used car lot. I suspect only people of an age,and probably in the UK,will know who i mean.
Minder!
Never saw that show, just read an article in a Classic Ford Magazine about the Capri from the series some time ago.
Back in the 80s, many British TV series were aired here but Minder never did.

Minder and the Sweeney were part of my growing up tv shows,i must have watched them both over a dozen times over the years. The capri caught fire near gatwick airport sometime ago,i dont know what happened to it in the end. 👍

Cars haven’t changed today. Hope they haven’t gone and pulled this one from us. If it was a test, I say it passed, but if it was a silent bug, easy come easy go.
