Using a wheel without pedals

@Crazybutt198 Is your wheel sitting on your lap or something, causing you to not be able to use the pedals?

When I started with the DFP back in GT4, I was using a folding table for the wheel. Immediately and without even thinking about it, I started to left foot brake. It’s awkward to brake with my right foot in gaming. Just as it’s really awkward to left foot brake in a real car when I was driving.

Sounds like quite an unusual improvisation.
Not only that, it was my kids’ Whiney The Pooh folding table! It sat on my legs as I was on the couch! I could only put up with it for so long, bought a WheelStation (wooden stand) after a couple of months. After that was a PlaySeat Evo for GT5p. Then the Obutto Ozone.

I only have a stupid ikea bookcase unit thing in my room .I can clamp the wheel and have nowhere for the pedals to sit secure.

Curious as to what sort of response you were expecting to receive here...

When I got my first wheel (DFGT with pedals as bad as the T80) I clamped it to my PC desk, jammed the pedals against the wall and sat in my rolling desk chair. After about ten minutes I went and got a 2x4 to put under the chair to stop it from rolling and a brick to prop up the pedals. Even with my T300 now my race rig is built out of scrap 2x4s, some plywood and an old car seat.

You don't need fancy equipment, you need ingenuity. 👍
