using the refresher plan

scooby driver
after buying the rigidity refresher plan, how does it work and does the player or the actual game itself refresh when the car needs it
cheers

When you buy or win a new car it's frame is nice and straight and when you drive it it handles as well as that car can handle. After you drive it a while, and hit a few things like walls and other cars :) , it's frame get a bit twisted. Then the car starts handling funny when you try to drive it, especially high speed braking. That is when you need to buy the refresher plan, which gets the car's handling back to its "new" state. Nothing automatic about it, however. If the car starts acting weird, check to see if the refresh is available. If it is buy it.

So lets say I buy a used car, buy the Rigidity Refresher plan, drive it like i stole it, lots of crashes etc....Is it possible for this to re-appear as being available for purchase? Im usually a very good driver and can keep it on the track so I dont know if its possible.

Yes, even if you don't run off the track, you will need to refresh the chassis every 500 or so miles otehrwise your handling will suffer (enough to justify putting out 50k is your choice).

My Minolta used to have to get refreshes when i was running the endurances.

I dont think I have ever checked the mileage to see when I was getting it. I know it wasn't as low as 500. When I notice the cars handiling going away thats when I check. I will test this out later unless someone else hasn't already.

well thats some useful info, I havent got to the point of doing many endurance races yet but will keep this in mind.

So I guess the best thing is to do the Endurances with the Formula One car, because nothing happens to it. I've run over 10,000KM on mine and it still runs like the day I won it.

I don't think the F1 car ever needs it, or an oil change either, it's hp never goes down.

The RRP appears to become available when the car needs it, and the mileage that makes it appear varies from car to car.

Whether or not rough, wall-slamming driving hastens the availability of the RRP is still open to debate, apparently.

The refresher plan works wonders!!!! I had a Ford GT LM that was a little torqued due to a day-long stint at the Nurburgring and was talking back something fierce!! Went to the dealer and saw that the Refresher Plan was available so I said, " Hook me up!!!". Since then, it has been like brand-new.
