Using the yellow flag to your advantage

I've noticed a bit of "dodginess" with the yellow flag system lately (ie no consistency) as is often the case with computers etc fix one thing skew another ha ha. I'm sure it will all be worked out. I try not to drive up peoples harris's anyway it often prevents stupid mishaps bumps and offs at corners (the usual conditions for yellow flagging). Take the tunnel vision off and focus on clean driving for now ADAPT & OVERCOME

Really?

How about you just beat the guy following you down the straight. If he does manage to overtake you, be a grown up and admit the quicker guy won.

Best way to take advantage of a yellow flag is to simply keep flooring it. Chances are another car slows down out of caution and you can pass them. You'll likely get the penalty anyway so best not to lose speed as well. Every time I have slowed down I still got the penalty and lost places to people behind me ignoring any caution, if not getting rammed from behind for trying to avoid a ghosted car. Yellow flags only increase the danger.

I think they changed this system, I only get penalties if I pass through the ghosted cars, if they are out of the way you don't get any penalty.

Still it isn't ideal because the game still reset the cars back on the middle of the track, while ghosted, like it happened to me yesterday at Brands Hatch turn 1, I passed through two ghosted cars who just got resetted in the track and got 10 seconds of penalty, ruining my pace and race.

I think they should get rid of this mechanic that reset cars back, yeah it's unfortunate that you got taken out and now is struggling to move in the dirt, but it's better than putting in the middle of the track and penalize other players that have nothing to do with it.
