even more off-topic...

Sorry to mention the dreaded "b" word ("backwards") here :ouch:. But it seems that this wheelie stuff is based on ride-height being the correct way around?

(please please avoid the temptation to post ranting replies for/against "backwards tuning"- there's enough of these threads already. Stick to objective discussion about how ride height affects wheelies and whether this gives us clues to how ride height works in general please)

👍
Ride height settings have ever been correct!Same for the springs.
Just because the effects seem to be strange or are unexpected for you, doesn't mean it's the game's fault. Learn how to tune!! It's a game and not real.

558 kph with the X1 using wheelie. I'm not sharing tune, it will eventually be discovered anyway.

you're a schmuck, just so you know.
I can make my formula gt fly upside down but I'm not telling how or showing any proof.

Most real world drag cars I've seen have higher rears.

Of course they typically have to to fit the rear tires. ;)

If you have any experience about how this relates to wheelies, this would be useful please. (otherwise, I guess we could return to v1.11 changes discussion...anything to avoid yet another 'backwards' religious debate!)

Why wheelies? I could tell you how a wheelie tune looks like.........is it that what you want?

True. You can't change the ride height of the X1, but the downforce does the trick. Achieved 583 kph now. I wonder if slipstreaming could make the car start accelerating even harder, like in GT4. Got to try that.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm not interested in wheelies, was just wondering if any of the wheelie people could offer any insight into the backwards ride height debate. Thanks anyway.

If I'm not mistaken the wheelie tunes require a low rear, which is odd because a higher rear gives more traction off the line. :odd:

You must distinguish between high speed wheelies done with lots of downforce and the wheelies of the line.

The high speed wheelies, which are usually ment when people talk about drag racing, need a very high rear downforce, very low rear and high front. You don't need much mechanical grip for it, the downforce gives you enough.

To do a wheelie of the line, you need as much grip as possible. That would be a classic wheelie tune. High rear, soft springs, etc.

I was just going to say this. You want a LOT of traction.

Everything feels more over-steery offline (seasonals) to me than before.
Don't know for sure if it's a ninja edit or not.
