Any one watch the V8s in at Pukeohe on sat and sun, They were great races and if Greg murphy wins the next race hes the series champion:D...But it would be better is skaifey was the series champion oh well hes on 3rd at the moment thats good enough.

I can't have Murph win - I once told him to his face (when he was racing with Audi) that I didn't think he was consistent enought to win a touring car title. I can't have that prediction shattered.

I used to work for their major sponsor at the time. Murph took it pretty well, actually. He's pretty intense, but not a bad bloke.

he seems like a bit of a loud mouth on telly

the only interaction ive had with a high level racer would be alex tagliani. me said "hurry up and win your first race, im sick of waiting"

Ok then the V8 supercar website must of made a mistake it says marcose ambrose is on 1989 points and greg murphy is on 1983 points!

...and here is the proof of Ambrose laading Murphy by 6 points:

1 Marcos Ambrose 1989
2 Greg Murphy 1983
3 Mark Skaife 1859
4 Russell Ingall 1771
5 Craig Lowndes 1646
6 Rick Kelly 1636
7 Jason Bright 1584
8 Steven Richards 1571
9 Todd Kelly 1538
10 Paul Radisich 1477

On sunda they said it was like 90 points and the enternet site says 3 so I dont know what to beleve!

Hah ha! He's doing it for you, you know that, don't you.

Still, that is worse than the worst thing I ever said... I was having a conversation with Andy Priaulx's sponsors a while ago. They said they thought he was an excellent driver, but were disappointed with the performance of the car. I pointed out that that was their fault for not giving him enough money.

Well you're always so god-bloody-dammed smart, it's about time someone showed you up! :P

Did you actually have a conversation with Murph, or just tell him that one thing?

As I mentioned above, I used to work for the major sponsor of Brad Jones' Audi super tourer team - I went to the Vic events hosting clients. It was nearly ten years ago - I chatted to Murph a couple of times. Brad's a nice guy - Kim Jones is a really interesting guy, especially on the technical side. I remember we were talking about Audi's AWD, and the fact that no-one else had got it working (remember Ford were fooling around with it with a hatchback version of the Mondeo?), and he casually dropped that Nissan had been trying to get an AWD Primera going for supertouring and also couldn't get it working.

It was a little awkward, because everyone knew Murph was quicker than Brad, but was under team orders.

Hehehe I just remembered when Brad Jones' manager or what ever went skits that was so funny "THANKS ALOT GUYS YOU RUINED OUR RACE!"
