For my R34...I have the VCD set at 25%.... I was just wondering...which way would give it a quicker response in acceleration...setting it to 50/50 or all the power in the rear or just inbetween the 2?
Cuz my R34 doesn't react that quick on tarmac (when the car is stopped and I accelerate)...The car takes awhile(..maybe a quarter or half of a second?) before it starts speeding up....is it because of the VCD? ...?

No, I doubt it's really because of the VCD. That tends to affect the understeer/oversteer balance more than anything.

Couple questions -

1) Where do you have the TCS set? Anything more than about 1 (or maybe 2) will have a serious affect on your acceleration.

2) Are you sure you're not just smoking the tires? Just have to ask.

3) Have you fitted the race transmission? If so, increase the Final Drive number for more low-end acceleration. You'll probably have to make the autoset gear numbers a little wider to keep the top end up.

Try cutting the TCS down to 2, or probably 1 (which is what I use if I use TCS at all; only on really powerful cars). This will allow some wheelspin, giving the engine some room to spool up, but it prevents you from really wasting the tires. Higher numbers on the TCS inhibit the engine too much and really hurt acceleration.
