Bump for info. Okay we have a problem. My internet is being shut off tomorrow so looks like my time with you guys is being cut short. I need someone I can trust to run this and ill still pay out? Please anyone

Obviously, no one on my team can take it over because a bulk of my team is in the tournament and there would be a presumed conflict of interest even though all of my guys are honest and never complain about anything.

If you can't continue the tournament - then you might as well just end it right now.

Everyone has been adapting to your style of judging and then if someone else comes in we have to adapt to another person's style of judging plus a whole new round of complaining - which has just grown tired and annoying.

So if you cannot continue the VDC tournament, my suggestion is to end it now. I don't even care about the prizes - you can use that money to keep your internet on or whatevers. Then you can focus on getting ready for VDC Season 2. 👍

Don't do it for us man. Do it for the reputation of the tournament. We understand that real life happens and it is what it is.

Again, VDC is your baby man. This is your creation and having someone else take it over could just tarnish its name. Take ownership of your creation and just kill it. I would respect you more for that.

Take the prize money spank. As far as I know Not many, if any people are doing it for the money.

I feel for you man, I really do. All you can do is cut back on costs and stuff....

I dont think anyone cares about the prizes lol... my prize was being able to use my Eunos SC430 in the VERY first round, I did that. My next prize was getting back in VDC after I had complications with GTP, I did what I wanted, im good

Just have to cut back on alot (my brother for example is shutting off internet) So im cutting back on my bull:censored: spending like fast food or just stuff i dont need. next is my car to be paid off then I should be okay for a bit. But am looking for a second job.

To be honest spanky i forgot about the prizes and im pretty sure half of the other people in the tournament did too Here's what you should do... Take the prize money and get yourself situated ... Then you should Make a ballot with 3 options... 1. End VDC Season 1 and prepare for season 2... 2. Postpone VDC Season 1 for a few weeks and let others host weekly tournaments like the D1GT or... 3. Let someone take over (GTP_PK_090 or Jimmy )... then you should send PM's to everybody in it and have them vote... Blah whatever you do it's your decision

As for the top 3 I will try and see what I can do for prizes. Or maybe we can just take the respect for a prize. I wanna congratulate all of you, and would like to thank you for the participation on VDC season 1. It has been amazing to see the talent shown in every round by not only from Lukas, but Gam, Powell, Killer, silvia, everyone!

From here on out we can discuss Season 2. I need ideas of what you guys would like;

- Judging?
- Points?
- Cars
- hp caps?

Please guys please let me know your ideas. Once we get the ideas together I will place a poll up. Once I decide th poll is closed then I will create a new thread and lock this one down. for Season 2 I wanna see if I can get sponsors too, like my brother did with the Flyin Miata Super Cup.

im sure we can all agree that we weren't really in it for the prizes and doing it all in good fun.

When I entered this tournament, what I loved was all the professionalism in the thread and orgainsation, which was amazing!

And when I passed round 1, I just thought about it, and thought 'this isnt about the money, its about the fun.' Which to this day, I cannot change my mind about this competition.

Its the best organised competition I have ever seen in my life, and I can't think of one fault. The sheer joy to participate was something else, and I just loved it so much. You could tell how much you enjoyed the competition and how much pride you took from it.

I hope I can talk to you soon and make farting noises again with jimmy going 'WTF' on the other end and you shouting 'Powell!'.

But it wont be so bad cause I know you'll still be here to troll the forum and correct spelling, and wait for somebody else to correct yours haha.

Glad to see you ended VDC rather than have someone else take it over Spank. Again VDC is your idea - so it should stay YOUR idea. It should live and die with you.

I don't want any prize at all for Season 1 - you keep all that and put it towards whatever you see fit bud. I just wanted to compete to see where my skills stood among all of the other elite drivers in the competition and represent my team - that's all.

So thanks for the good 3 rounds and allowing us to compete against each other while you judged/watched. It was good fun!! My team and I will be entering VDC 2!!

I don't think there should be limits as, the way I see it, VDC is the pro equivalent of FD, D1GP etc so everyone is using the car they can do well in.
However, it would be good to bring a realness to VDC by having categories with sponsors and budgets. For example, there will be the lower down categories;
Sponser: Discount tyre Budget: 80,000cr Colours: Red + white
Right up to the high end;
Sponser: Falken tyre Budget: 300,000cr Colours: Green + black
and everything in between to make it even closer to real life and bring further excitement only we, as the drifting community, can only create ourselves.
