B-spec mode: Upto six (6) drivers. Teach them, be hard on them, but not too hard, as they might get frustrated. Sometimes you've got to yell in your microphone to keep them focussed. The better you guide them, the more their performance and self assurance improves. Once you've got four (4) B-spec drivers, you can enter 24-hours races. A well balanced team is recommended.

THIS!! that make's me want to actually use B-Spec finally. Like making your own team, it will be very fun. I wonder how you train your drivers. Is it like Forza and you run track's and it measures your inputs on the track and apply them to BOB or do you send BOB somewhere to practice to learn or do they just get better on how they place in races?

Thank you very much for sharing it, Denur!!!

I hope the bit about creating our own Special Events will put an end to years of frustration with the automatic created car grid in Arcade races....

Amen to that buddy!

Missing since GT2 is a series of events that actually make sense! No more running your 1960's muscle cars that go little beyond 100 MPH against 200MPH and or 1G capable sports cars from the 90's and beyond just because of similar P.W.R. values.

Do you have to employ your b spec drivers and pay them, if so that would make it interesting.

Yes that would be quite interesting and I hope you do. A % should come off your winning's for the driver. Also I wonder if the said driver's can leave your "team" if they don't match up with your inputs during a race. How many different driver's are there to choose from or are they all created by the player?

hopefully you can sign Luca Badoer and make his life a living hell, just for giggles.

"push Luca!"

"push Luca!"

"push Luca!"

"push Luca!"

"push Luca!"

"push Luca!"

"you came last again Luca! no wages for you!"

repeat until he falls sleep at the wheel or is unable to take ANY corner without going off.

that will make him feel better about himself, you need to tell him you HATED his B&W Minardi, and then make him race on wet weather tyres, unless its raining.

He's a fast driver just not a great race and my selection is his 1995 Scuderia Italia/Minardi M195 :). Hang in there Luca it will all be over soon.

Nice one Denur đź‘Ť Will you be posting the info from the programme?

The below extract from PD's site confirms that your B-spec drivers gain experience and improve just from participating in races but they improve more if you give them better instructions. Still need to know how you get more B-spec drivers as I think you start off with just one, presumably it's from taking part in B-spec races but hopefully it'll also be as you progress in A-spec.

Live as a Racing Team Director in B Spec

In the B spec mode, you are the director of a racing team. You will not be driving yourself, but will be nurturing an AI (Artificial Intelligence) driver, with the aim of securing victory by giving directions to the driver during races.

The B spec mode which first appeared in "Gran Turismo 4" has evolved to the next level, creating another facet of "Gran Turismo 5" that you could call a "Racing RPG".

The AI driver who appears in the B spec mode will have an ability gauge, condition, and personality, which will change as they participate in numerous races. Depending on the condition of the driver, they may not always listen to your directions as the team director. You will need to have a very different temperament to when you are behind the wheel yourself.

Below is another extract relating to "GT Anywhere" and how your B-spec drivers can gain experience without you even knowing about it! This will be essential for me to train them up enough for 24 hour races.

"Rent" AI Drivers to Others, to Gain Experience

There is also a special mode in the Community, called "Remote Racing". In remote racing, when the AI driver and car set public by you and your friend are selected, an event race will start automatically.

This means that the AI driver that you set public might participate in a remote race of your friend, and come back with experience before you even know it.

You can watch the races that you host, but you will not be able to give commands like you can in the standard B-spec mode. This is to keep the matches with the AI driver you borrowed from your friends fair.

The info comes from a special in the paper magazine, so not from a TV show on the Veronica TV channel.

Any idea what day the magazine is on the shelves? I presume you're getting it and won't be shy with the scans :)

I received it by mail last week. There are no new screens in the article to be shown, so the scan I did of the first page will have to do (see OP).

Thanks! I'll check if i still can pick up a copy :)

To expand on the 2-car team train of thought.

I wonder if you can enter a 2-car team. One with 4 B-spec drivers and the second car with 2 B-spec drivers plus yourself...

That would be kind of awesome.
