Vertigo Race Car to have 910PS??

live4speed
When they were both in stock form, the FTO had far more Bhp and a better power to weight ratio, and it was the same when fully tuned, the FTO was a more powerful machine so although I've never compared times between the two, using them both stock or both fully tuned would probably result in the FTO getting the faster time, but if you get them both to similar power or power to weight levels the Vertigo should come out on top.

Is it just me, or did yall notice the tire size to be a factor in GT3 as far as handleing when. New to the forums here, and I haven't read anything in the GT3 section, just wondering if someone noticed this also...

Meh maybe I was setting up the vertigo wrong... But I found that the FTO was quicker (at least from my experience). I traded in GT3 a while back at EB games, but I think the FTO had bigger tires which was the cause for the better grip in the corners.

The FTO in GT3 was a 4-wheeldrive, the Vertigo wasn't. Mystery solved......
Anyway, those 900+ hp of the Vertigo cannot be reached without adding a turbo or two. As both FIA-GT and Belcar regulations prohibit the use of turbos it's clearly a phantasycar. You gotta scale this car at the same level as the Porsche 911 and the BMW M3 GTRacers. I visited both FIA-GT and Belcar races and the difference in speed is huge. In Belcar it is possible to win 24 hour races with an antique Viper (Zolder!) while in FIA-GT that same Viper would end up in the midfield. For those who never attended a FIA-GT event; don't forget to bring your earplugs! The noise those cars make is overwhelming! Much, much louder than any F-1 car I can asure you. Without earplugs in I even started to lose my balance, probably the hardest noise I ever heard. And that means something as I used to play in a hardcore/metal band...The loudest of all times has to be the Lister Storm V12. Saying this I start to realize why these cars are banned in several countries, unfortunately the Netherlands is one of them.

Belcar 24h Zolder (Belgium)

Unfortunately the only pics I made were during the night, because the very same day there was the Rally of Germany.......Nice planning from the FIA 👎

The Bhp on the 905 will go up once you do an oil change or use it like a lot of the cars in GT3 you bought.

Of course but since the other cars will do so, the 905 will be still underpowered compared to other LM cars.
For example if the 905 move from 512ps to 700ps while a Bentley speed 8 move from 636ps to almost 800ps , the Pug is still 100ps down compared to the Bentley.
In real life the Pug was at least 50ps more powerful than the Bentley. It just sounds weird for me. :ill: :indiff:

OF course, I hope I'm wrong :)

All PD have done is create a Gillet Vertigo thats not held to any set of specs any real Vertigo race cars are. Like the JGTC cars in GT2, PD have just bent the rules a little.
You're an optimist live4speed, I wish I could take it as lighthearted as you :)
Imo the car looses all its value by being raped like this.
Imagine that the Holden Commodore would have 700HP and a weight of 800kg. It would blow the competition, but where is the relevance of such a car?

PD likes to call GT4 an encyclopedia of car history, and claims its laptimes within some % of real life, a real driving simulator, etc ... The least they could do is indicate clearly which cars are phantasy cars, and which are accurate simulations of real life. Cheating with HP and weight can be seen but who knows how they cheat with downforce, braking distance, etc :scared:

I was in Zolder for the FIA-GT race in 2003. Incidentally I took earplugs for me and my wife. Man, were we happy that we had those!

so the peugeot will suddenly get about 200 PS more, just cause of an oil change?---stupid!
why does PD give that nice Group C racer its real PS(700)?...it´s just stupid...
and how should you use the car to make it more powerful without setting on turbo(s) or tuning? as in GT3?...well i just know that the cars got more if you changed oil and some PS(1-5 perhaps)when you drove a championchip or enduro.....

Not sure if it's still helpful

... Um...

Is the FTO Race Car in GT4? I assumed it was because it was in GT3 and it seemed to be a very popular car... I just checked the list and didn't see it, but with over 700 cars I might have missed it. Is it there?

FTO Super Tourer is the new designation of the FTO LM, it's undergone a slight cosmetic change too, it looks even better now... but I think it's power is slightly down now, it's no longer 567hp.

Meh, I feel like a tool. I limited the search to 4WD and the FTO Super Tourer doesn't have a set drivetrain, although its 4WD... meh sorry guys I found it :)

How is 910Bhp too much for a V6, it's common knowledge F1 cars have done that before, the Suzuki Aerio and Escudo pikes peak cars both have well over 900Bhp and they both have V6's.

The Escudo has two V6s engines, so you can't really compare it to that.
