You are most definetely gonna need to put up a pic showing those stats. I don't personally think you're lying, but the policy is to put up a pic of stats as high as those and specially if they're in those categories too.

Yes... we need a pic.

What are your other destructive stats-- specifically: road vehicles destroyed, people wasted, criminals wasted, and planes & helicopters destroyed, and time played.

Like sleek stratos said, its not that I don't believe you (I am proof that you can get rediculous stats if you apply yourself) but I have a responsibility to everyone that uses this board to verify incredible records-- I would like pics of all the above stats and the ones you posted and with each of them the CR must be visible.

1. Insane stunts with any car/motorcycle.
2. Insane stunts with the Rhino.
3. Insane stunts using a "Superjump."

I'm thinking just two categories as the superjump is easily distinguished fom regular jumps while rhino/other vehicle jumps are not easily distinguished from each other-- if you can get enough people to support your idea Acidman, I will do it, its not my recordbook-- I just edit it.

Providing proof between the two is impossible without pics right after the jumps occur-- i guess we could make that a requirement--I for one don't know what vehicle i got my 74 meter jump in as I believe it is a glitch-- so where do I put it??

I finally got to play an hour this morning (my kid is starting to walk-keeps me VERY busy).

I got another couple of superjumps today.

On the first one I almost made from Phil's Place to Starfish Island but hit the water. The second I did I got 26000 degrees rotation, 400m height and about 350m distance. I'll post the exact stats and a pic tonight.

If you're gonna split the jumps record into regular, Rhino and superjumps, then my record is 147m with a PCJ. Though I can't prove that.

I tried the Phils place one today with a sanchez--I couldn't get it in the right position (doesn't want to turn around when you go behind the gate) and I kept getting stuck in the walls or falling through grey hell-- The PCJ seems much easier to get in position although I still haven't got it to work yet.

I've spent 3-4 hours trying to get the lighthouse one and I only got it once and it shot me into the ocean (although right next to the shore).

How many tries (or hours) does it typically take you KM before you get one to work??

Just curious.

Also, for those that want to try it-- here is a link to a page on super jumps-- there are some links to videoclips of them too. Be sure to check out the records.

http://www.mygtastuff.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/vicemain.html

Looks like you need plenty of patience to get them to work.

Also, apparently it is fairly common for the bike to catch fire while flying through the air during a superjump- do we want to make an exception and allow the use of vehicle health cheat code for superjump records?? I for one think that this is an acceptable exception to the NO CHEATING policy of the recordbook.... any comments on this??

It tooks hours of trying before I got the hang of it. It's hard because you don't really know if you're doing it right until it happens. The trick as I see it is to drive straight into the gap and when the bike flips over you should have one head half stuck in the wall and the bike half stuck in the gate. Nowreverse until your front wheel is slight stuck in the ground and your backwheel is still above ground. Don't reverse too much, your front wheel should be only a little in the ground. Then accelerate.

If your bike twists around so that it's upright and at 90 degrees to the gate, then you've done it wrong. If your bike stays pointing in the same direction, but goes on to it's side and starts stretching in and out, then you've done something right. Something good might happen now. Sometimes your bike might just pop back into shape, sometimes it might just spin like crazy and travel a short distance, but sometimes it'll take off like a ****ing rocket and shoot up higher than the helicopter can fly so you can see the entire city below you. It's some sight to see when you get it.

As for cheating during superjumps, how would you know anyway?

My bike's exploded twice while trying superjumps, but that was when my bike just shot across Phil's yard and flew into a wall or biulding or something, but on each of the few occasion that I did it properly, my bike was fine.

We wouldn't know if someone was using cheats but they would and would likely feel some sort of guilt for posting stats with cheats involved (I'm assuming they have some scruples)-- we pretty much use the honor system here-- the question is should it be an acceptable practice to use a vehicle health cheat in a superjump if needed-- evidently your bike was healthy enough. I know that in the numerous times I tried to get the lighthouse one--I kept taking damage and eventually the bike started smoking.

Your directions are the same as the ones I've found, I just haven't spent alot of time trying to get it yet.

Do you keep accelerating after the bike flips on its side?? I read you can either keep accelerating or stop accelerating and wait.

I read its possible to jump through grey hell and get incredible stats too--see glitched superjumps at the site I linked to earlier.

I have acctually found a "Grey Hell" jump myself. If you take a bike (I used a PCJ) and you jump off the VCN helipad onto the street below (that just came off Prawn Island) if you hit a certain spot you will fall through Grey Hell. I've done it a few times in a row, now if you can fiqure out how to get the bike spinning as you go off the heli pad and hit the street just right and you fall through Grey Hell you would get some pretty good stats i imagine.

I GOT IT!!

I figured out the Phils place superjump today and did a whole bunch of them today--is much easier to get then the lighthouse one.

My first one shot me super high in the air but out toward the golf course--I came up pretty well short and drowned--after that, I got several of them but none nearly as far or high as that one.

My two best ones:

This one shot me south almost to Little Havana
Distance: 1306 ft (392 M)
Height: 76 ft
Flips: 0
Rotation: 7730
Bonus: $1482

This one shot me almost straight up
Distance: 126 ft
Height: 913 ft (274 M)
Flips: 2
Rotation: 16768
Bonus: $3958

I did alot of short ones too.

I had a real good one-- real tight spin- that had me bouncing--I bounced twice with about 10,000 degree rotations each and then I bounced super (still spinning rapidly) high but landed in water near Fort Baxter (just north)-- I think this one would have challenged for rotation and height.

This is a blast--although a little frustrating when you get stuck in the wall and can't get free.

I took pictures of my stats and will try and upload them in the morning (I'm at work now).

Stats updated--

Also KM, when you fall to the side, do you continue to accelerate or not-- I haven't had any luck doing that--I normally let off the gas for a second after he falls over and then gun it. I haven't kept accelerating very many times though so it may not matter--I"m really not sure.

I am having trouble putting the other pics up they are all too big for the attachment.

Thanks--crop them down if you have to---

Also, what did you do to raise it so high--just loads of brownthunder??

There is an old DOS program called lviewp1b.exe that is great at compressing JPEG files without reducing quality--if the pic is bigger--just reduce it to 800x600 and save it and it should be small enough. If it is smaller--just open it in the program and resave it-- you can resize it in the "edit" drop down.

download it here

http://fresh.t-systems-sfr.com/pc/src/misc/.warix/lviewp1b.zip.html

just click on the zip file--its not real big.

Once he falls over to the side and things look right, I keep my finger on the X button until I see him starting to stretch in and out. I just let go and see what happens next.

THanks for the info-- did you get all those stats on the same jump or were they off seperate ones??

Also, how good are you at getting them. After I figured it out yesterday I was getting some type of jump every 3rd or 4th time I got my head stuck in the wall-- of course some were pretty short. I did catch fire twice--once after landing a pretty big one and another as I had a low trajectory jump and was sort of skipping across roofs--I just bailed off the bike.

A photo of my Hotring lap record... :D

(Note that the overall race time is poorer - it's on a different saved game)

Wow! 10 minutes. 👍
I still have to pick up from 7 mins in who knows what saved file.
I'm working on another one so I guess that'll keep me busy though.
Here's a thought, I bet I hold the record for most times completing the game. :D This will be about the 10th file I complete. Just think. that's a whole lotta Ambulance missions, Taxi Passengers and every single petty thing one must do to reach 100%

I just did some more superjumps--

My best succesful on was

Distance 706 feet
Height 1103 feet (336 meters)
Flips 3
Rotation 20150 degrees
Bonus $7371

I had another in which I must have hit something as I took off from Phils as I caught fire on the way up--and blew up over the Junkyard about the time I peaked (very high up and spinning very rapidly)--I would not have got stats anyway since I blew up but regardless-after the wasted thing came up, the game locked. It looked like I would have landed in the airport area if I cleared the water--hard to tell if I was gonna do that or not...I'm not sure why I caught fire as it was a new bike and not smoking before I got in position-- I know that perfect superjump is out there.:banghead:

Updated--

Correction-- my height for my last superjump was only 331 meters (not 336) :(

I spent 2 hours today trying to improve my superjump records-- I twice had the distance to reach starfish island but missed to the left & right respectively and drowned

I've been catching fire more often too-- I might be doing something to make me hit something as I get launched out--it happens so fast I must be missing it--and the game locked up one of the times I blew up in mid air real high up again--evidently the game doesn't like bike explosions at 2000 feet.

I also got 4 flips today but it wasn't a superjump--I was trying to get in position for one and fell through grey hell and got 4 flips falling through there--I'm not sure if I should count it as it wasn't a real jump nor a superjump--just a falling through the ground glitch--its in my stats though..

A little unlucky-- superjumps are fun when you get a good one but frustrating when you land in the water or blow up in midair or get stuck in the wall.
