Video Downloads Back Online

I believe so. Here's an example: On the homepage, in the New Videos and Nurburgring Guide news update, I click the Ideal Racing Line of Nurburgring link and I get a message that says "Sorry, you're account does not have access to this section".

I just tried the video section itself and everything worked--I guess only the videos/guides don't work on the homepage. I never went to the video section before this so I was basing my problem on the homepage.

I'm getting keef's problem, too. I can't access the stuff that he's clicking on (ideal racing line of something), but I can get to the gallery normally, by clicking on Video Gallery.

Any news, Jordan?... I'm having the same problem yet...

That Nurb vid better be good, after all the times I have tried to download it...:dopey:

;)

Well, I'm sitting here looking at your usergroup permissions, and I'm not having any troubles with my testing account in the same usergroup. Can you post comments to the files in the downloads section?

If I go to the video section, I can download vids (is there supposed to be a vid for the ideal Nurb racing line?)... It's just the links on the homepage that give me the "Your account does not have access" message... I do a see a link to view comments, and thus, post comments (in the GT4 Video section)...

It's just all the links on the homepage that are closed off to most all members, for some reason...

;)

I'm glad you said that, DR, as I was just about to go nuts trying to figure this out!!! I assumed everyone was downloading the videos from download gallery itself, not those links (none of which are working for any usergroup).

I don't want to sound like a broken record... But...

Still no access to the home page links... I'm still getting the "Your account does not have access" message... This is a real puzzler, aye Jordan?...

;)

No, I was just lazy when I discovered the problem and never got around to correcting the links. They should be fixed now, and I got the GT5 screenshots up in our new gallery.

downloads are awsome i was wondering thow i just got gt4 2 days ago and im already at 14.6 percent i am wondering how u drift i cant seem to get any cars to i used to use the stingray in gt2 but it wont driftin gt4

To answer your question, which is asked in the wrong place here, look in the Read This! Stickied FAQs in the GT4 Drifting Forum.

Lastly, please speak English. It just looks plain stupid and I doubt someone who doesn't have English as their 1st language would have understood that. We like to keep this place as friendly as possible, so please follow it. :)

BMW328ciC:

You want to right click on the link, and select "Save Target As.." on the menu. You can save it to wherever you want from there.

Everytime I "Right click" to save, it just takes me to "HMTL". Why is this?

Are you sure you are logged in? Be sure you sign in to the forums, check the "Remember Me?" box, and right click directly on the "Download Now" link.

I am logged in. Have "ticked" the remember me box and there is still a problem. When I left click the video plays. If I Right click to save, it takes me to "HTML"

What browser are you using, and what is the EXACT text that it is in the right-click menu that you're clicking on?

I'm getting in File Name "index" and file type as "HTML". I'm using standard Windows XP. Hope this helps!!!! Although I'm confused!
Thanks for your help.

It's very simple, but I do need to know the answers to my questions before I can help you more. What web browser program are you using (is it Internet Explorer? Firefox? Netscape? AOL?)? And when you right click on the "Download Now" link, what is the exact text that you are clicking on in the little menu that pops up?

Also, unless you want to save the video, can you not just left-click on the "Download Now" link and watch the video?

OK. I'll try to be as clear as I can:
1)I'm using Internet Explorer.
2) When I "Right click- Save Target as..." on Download Now button i get
a) File Name : index
b) Save as type: HTML Document.

Hope this helps.

Is this similar or the same menus you get when you right-click?

If so, it looks like you can only watch the video by left-clicking it. I do remember though a year or so ago you could right click and save the video to anywhere on your harddrive, but it seems it doesn't do that anymore.

I tried using Internet Explorer this morning and left clicking one of the "Download Now" links brought up a prompt asking me to Open, Save or Cancel. It seems like nige might have IE set up to automatically play video files, rather than prompting for an action. I don't use IE so I can't really give too much help though...

Yeah, or that. It seems mine is set up exactly the same here.

I'm not sure how to stop it though as I hardly use IE myself, so sorry I can't be of more help.

Nearly all of the videos have been moved to our GTP Gallery, with the exception of the GT4 videos, which are still in "transition". They'll be up soon.
