I've been doing a lot of experimentation on the older cars in the game in preparation for the Vintage Racing League (Not sure on the name) online series that we're coming out with, and have actually come up with some very nice/solid tunes for various cars. Anyways, I was wondering how many of you might be interested in me putting them up?

Oh, and if you would have any interest in running some races with us please PM me and let me know!

More options is always better. Especially when they're on cars that haven't been tuned yet. Toss 'em up and I'll add them to the thread for people to use.

+1 there's always someone asking for a tune for a certain car, set up a certain way. So the more tunes out there, the easier it is on the Forums. Search Trans Cammer and you'll see what I mean

Yeah it's a good idea to tune old cars, i suggest to start with the Lotus Europa Special '71 it's a beautiful car and listen the sound of engine when you choose the car it's simply so powerful and old school...wooow!

Here are some oldie's vintage , i recomand the Alpine and the Lancia stratos, but all are specials to me.

Ferrari 512 BB 76

And there is more to come, if you have some tune to ask me , it 'll be a pleasure, i love this olds temperamental cars, they are like me and we have the same age. The 512 b is fantastic to drive on the ring and eiger. Alfa 63 is my birthday car[/COLOR]

Hey JLawrence, since your joining our race series i'd like to offer you my help in this. I love racing classic cars and i've been looking for a good "excuse" to tune these cars. I already have a GT350R tune 95% ready to reveal and im working with the GT40 '69 and others. Oh and we're almost done with the first season just to let you know. I'm looking forward to racing and tuning with you.

Mostly I've been doing tunes in the 440-450pp range in preparation for the vintage group that we're putting together. Just so it won't be confused with the Trans-Am boys, (who graciously are gonna stop all over me come race day =p) we are going to be doing street based cars mostly stock with slight modifications, or at least thats the plan for now, and this (https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=5274980#post5274980) should link you to the car list we're doing, just to give you an idea of the tunes that I will be working on.

I'll be glad to take requests, they just depend on whether I can find them in the UCD, and of course have the money! So feel free to post them and tell me what power range you're looking for with them.

Kal said that's cool if I just hop in and ride the bottom of the leaderboard, but at this point I'm pretty well starting from scratch on my Cobra tune again, so I might not have it totally ready for Sunday, but I'll be on. I am really interested to see how you guys race.

Anyways, I would certainly be glad for your help! You and the other Trans-Am boys know way more than I do about good sets for those bigger cars. So, I suppose with this demand for vintage tuning, its time to open the aptly named "Vintage Tuning Garage."

Im looking to help JLawrence in his Garage and ill take on the more difficult cars to tune like the Shelby's and the Trans Cammer and any others that seem impossible. Like i mentioned before, i have a fairly decent tune for the GT350R that i came up with the aid of friends online and it makes consistant lap times, all while being easier to control (at least to me). I have most every classic car American and European but no classic Japanese cars. If anyone wants to help out on the Japanese side of tuning we would appreciate it.

Most positively yes, So much more character with the old cars its a shame they just don`t perform like their modern day rivals but with some good tuning im sure they could be improved no end so its a "yes" from me👍

I'll do some japanese, in a few time i send the "Mazda 110s (L10A) 1967.

It is verydiferent after tune. Now there is a lot of control and almost anybody with pad also can do some time attack with it.

On Monaco it's fantastic, just don't forget your sunglasses.👍👍

Here is it:

Enjoy.

Hold off on the tunes, right now we're nust trying to get this garage organized and ready for a different thread for official use.

Hi, you ask it i do it !! it was almost ready to post. No problem, it's easiest to moove a link than to do a tune, at the right time.

I'll send others when ready..

Sounds good. Go ahead and send JLawrence a PM and talk out the details with him. The two of us have a good starting point already and now we just need to wait until PSN is back up so we can start tuning online. Praiano63, if you have more Japanese cars then we would love to have you aboard so we can expand the boundaries of this garage.

I second that. I have been playing with the older European cars like the BMW 2002 and the E-Type Jag, so some help with the Japanese machines would be great. Just shoot me a PM and I'll fill you in on what we got goin here

Sorry, what mean PM ?? Private message?? that's it??.
63 is my birthday, you can understand i'm late sometime on this abreviations you're using today.....

I love ALL the antiques. And I wish I could find more help in tuning some of them. So it's a great idea.

I have yet to try your cobra tune JLawrence...
But your antique BMW tune, was loads better than I was able to do on my own!!

I don't really know about cars, I tune like someone groping in the dark, trial & error. haha.
I'm good with some cars... and then some other cars mystify me, because my standard way of going about it doesn't really work with some cars.

Also look forward to some online racing w/ you when psn is back. :D

I'm still fine tuning the Cobra, but I've now got it to where I'm running consistent 1:14's but could definitely run in the 13's with a clean lap on Deep Forest. Ford and I will be trying to come up with our best comprehensive list of vintage cars and their tunes, for our Vintage league first, then maxed out on request.

The last week or so I've been adjusting on the Super Bee at the Forest, I've got consistent low 1:15's, but I'm still working on keeping the tail end planted... I think if I can get the rears to hook, it will be very competitive there

Good to see you posting here Mudd. We're fixing to open up a garage for classicas and when we do i'll post my GT350R tune here and post the link back to our Trans Am Thread.

What kinda upgrades have you done to it? And where is it sliding out on you? Braking into the corner, or accelerating out? That sounds like a problem with the differential to me.

I think my problem is I fully upgraded it long ago when I first got it, I've tuned it down to lower the PP, but some of the upgrdes are irreversible. I've 'duped' all my classics at bone stock just for that reason, but my stock Super Bee is currently stuck in my secondary account! And yes, I'm a firm believer in LSD tuning, I've been testing that adjustment alot.

If it's already fully maxed You ought to just go with that. Supposedly if you use ballast or that power limiter it'll still be better than a regular car at that same pp.

And for the LSD remember:
Torque - higher, more understeer/lower, more oversteer
Acceleration - lower promotes inside wheel spin/higher, outside
Braking - lower throws the end around when on the brakes, higher keeps it tight

Im not sure the higher the initial torque the more oversteer, to try and not turn this into a discussion thread, its been discussed in other threads that more of pretty much all the settings means more grip most of the time. So that would promote understeer.
