I've noticed a few instances where the video game doesn't resemble real cars. The differential lockers for instance don't effect straight launches in the game. The ride hight is probably another part of the game that doesn't resemble real life.

yea true, this needs an update anyways but i dont have the time with uni and everything

I'm interested in how much anyone has messed with the suspension dampers. Sounds like everyone has tested the tuning levels of these cars as much as anyone out there. In the game, for drag racing it seems like the dampers only help between shifts to keep the suspension at a good height to start the next gear. Has anyone else noticed this?

In the 3k there just as important as the ride height mate.

a 4wd in most cases will launch off first gear. So that means in many cases you can run in auto.
As I mentioned before you want to add 15mph to the trap speed as your max.
so when you flip transmission, raise 6th gear to fully right on the bar, and then make the top speed in the top right corer 15 above your trap speed.

I will look at the max HP RPM and if it is close to redline I set my top speed to be only 1 or 2 above the trap speed. In my premium Golf I actually got a faster time by topping out just at 399-400 meters, 1st-3rd got close enought to increace my launch that the minimal slow-down at the last 2 meters didn't matter. Nice work here Viper.
