So much for the biggest race of the year. Ad break and we're missing commentary.
You sound surprised?
Anyway, let's go Scotty!

Nothing really to be surprised about. Biggest race of the year, of course businesses will want to take advantage of that. You sound surprised?

It's not the biggest race of the year. It's qualifying for the biggest race of the year, and drivers are clearly nursing the cars around the circuit. Unless one of them bins it, we're not going to be seeing anything revolutionary. So much for the biggest race of the year. Ad break and we're missing commentary.
Plus, who from the main drivers are going to start further down the field?
But the track was significantly worse.Van Gisbergen is slower than McLaughlin.
He's going to HATE that.
This was the main reason why F1 stopped this qualifying, imo its great.
One of the greatest races in history came from it too (Suzuka 2005).Yeah, that's tough. But so agree, it beats teams waiting until 2minutes to go out and do one lap.
Doesn't matter. Haven't you noticed the way van Gisbergen tends to get a red mist about him whenever he's near McLaughlin? He used to be the most popular Kiwi driver in the sport, but after his staged retirement from racing to get out of his contract, he lost the respect of the fanbase. When McLaughlin emerged as a fast young Kiwi with a likeable attitude and personality, he usurped van Gisbergen's position - and van Gisbergen hasn't responded well to it.But the track was significantly worse.
I haven't noticed anything apart from you the only one having a tiresome rant about it everytime he is mentioned.Doesn't matter. I actually agree here. I do get a sense of jealousy from SVG when he hasn't performed as well as McLaughlin.Doesn't matter. He does tend to be very aggressive around McLaughlin - moreso than around any of the others.I actually agree here. I do get a sense of jealousy from SVG when he hasn't performed as well as McLaughlin.

Well on the bright side for me, the worsening conditions gave Moffat a 5th instead of 10th.![]()
