Nothing really to be surprised about. Biggest race of the year, of course businesses will want to take advantage of that.

Exactly. It's a pain but got to get used to it, going to be just as bad (if not worse) tomorrow.

I think conditions are indeed getting worse with each run.

Sloppy lap, but conditions don't seem to be there.

So much for the biggest race of the year. Ad break and we're missing commentary.
It's not the biggest race of the year. It's qualifying for the biggest race of the year, and drivers are clearly nursing the cars around the circuit. Unless one of them bins it, we're not going to be seeing anything revolutionary.

Things will be interesting for tomorrow if Can to starts on pole. Plus, who from the main drivers are going to start further down the field?

I'd still like to hear what is being said. We have full coverage. The hearing impaired get words across the screen. so should we for the ads anyway.

Well, as has been pointed out, it will always be a thing.

Wouldn't surprise me starting so far back, if HRT starts Tander instead of Luff in an effort to get some track position.

Now, watch Roland Dane argue that qualifying should be abandoned and free practice times used to set the grid because everyone was running in equal conditions.

Rain is a great equalizer, if there is changing conditions tomorrow anyone could survive hopefully long enough to win a time certain race,

But the track was significantly worse.
Doesn't matter. Haven't you noticed the way van Gisbergen tends to get a red mist about him whenever he's near McLaughlin? He used to be the most popular Kiwi driver in the sport, but after his staged retirement from racing to get out of his contract, he lost the respect of the fanbase. When McLaughlin emerged as a fast young Kiwi with a likeable attitude and personality, he usurped van Gisbergen's position - and van Gisbergen hasn't responded well to it.

I haven't noticed anything apart from you the only one having a tiresome rant about it everytime he is mentioned.

I actually agree here. I do get a sense of jealousy from SVG when he hasn't performed as well as McLaughlin.

I did lose respect for him after that. Then, something was untold until a recent Betty interview. She actually said she should have kept the Falcons. Now, that opens up a new view of what transpired. True, faking to get out of contract is bad but, look what could have been if she kept the FGs. She would have Giz, Holdsworth and Slade. 3 fast drivers in FG Xs. Winning races like Giz was doing in SBR.

Hindsight. Had she not been emotionally attached to AMG and just took what she had and built on it, what a team EMV8 would be right now. She knows that now. Just as she said.

So, yeah. Wack move by Giz initially but, no promise of what was going to be his future, with an owner who didn't know V8s and wasn't being transparent. Can't blame him.

I still have his #9 SBR Scalextric from 2012 though. :D

Well on the bright side for me, the worsening conditions gave Moffat a 5th instead of 10th. :P

Freakin rain. Couldn't it have held back for ten minutes when qualifying was on? :grumpy: Not holding any hope for GT/Luff starting all the way back in 22nd.

With the changing conditions and hoe the field is set out this is going to be an absolute cracker of a race, I cant wait!
