What do people feel about removing qualifying points from the drivers who earned them for rounds 1-3? This will make it more fair for those who came in after qualifying was dropped, but unfair for those who earned them for showing up.

Opinions?

No, those points were hard earned. its un fair for the ones that worked hard for those points

If a system gets changed it should be changed for the previous rounds, too. Hard earned points that's right although it's also unfair to have 3 rounds where you can earn 112 points and 4 rounds with just 100 points each.

112?

12 points for #1 qualifier x 3 rounds?

Don't really know what you're asking now? I just said it's not fair to have 3 rounds where it's possible to earn up to 112 points each time and 4 rounds with each just up to 100 points

To point out that it's ofcourse harsh to take points away but not fair to not do it as from now on nobody gets the opportunity to earn these extra points anymore

But had the opportunity....

70 people registered, including you for this event. This knowing the schedule of the days events. But never showed. Its not fair to take the points away from people who signed up, showed up for every qualifying day like requested.

I for all people know about personal life over a video game, but to miss every event till round 4? If you signed up but knew you had work on qualifying days or whatever the case may be, signing up should never have been completed. It gives high hopes to me to have 70 people sign up but destroys it when less than half of that ever show up.

So these people forget about the event? Possibly. But i also listed a rule with the sign ups that If you are not certain if you could make the days required, you should not sign up. In order to compete on Sundays events you knew you had to qualify on Saturday. If you knew you worked or can't be on the game at the time needed to qualify, you shouldn't have signed up.

All I'm getting to say is, Its not fair to the people who got up early to make the room, or hell even stayed up late to make at least a qualifying run, to take their points away. To be honest do points really matter at this point? The constant people showing up are people who just simply enjoy being apart of something like this rather than winning a championship that rewards them with nothing.

I made this event to bring everyone closer together as a community. And i hope i succeeded at that. I've grown tired, stressed out from doing this. I have to retire after this season.

Even tho I've fallen in love with what VDC represents. :/

So let's play out the rest of the season. Let's become closer together as a drifting community, not worry about points. Let's go out there and run door 2 door with some of the best.

Lets have fun!

I get your point spank, if you don't want to change it that's totally ok I was stating a point of fiew but I'm not the one to decide for sure. This isn't life, it's still about the fun so as you said, let's have fun!

I like to share my opinion especially about things in VDC. I've been in this since day 1 and always wanted to keep it alive, make it bigger etc. There had always been loads of people who just don't show up or drop out but with things like constantly open sign ups and a first come first system instead of qualifying alot of stress and pressure gets taken off the host(s). That's what you should do in my opinion. Just make everything as easy as possible for you before give up on it.

Go easy on yourself, nobody has the right to expect anything more from you. VDC is awesome, people who expect you to put more work into it should imagine GTP without it.

Exactly, I cant think of anything else to do after VDC ends.
You can organize a little comp, create new ways of drifting ect. You know drifting ain't always about competition, its about having fun..

I totally agree with you about him doing everything as easy as possible before giving up on it, but then if you think about it, it would take out the professionalism that VDC has been having.
Just my humble opinion. ;)

???????????????

How on earth would it take out the professionalism? Isn't manly down to drivers ? C'mon man. VDC has it's status, and it'll probably keep it's current status.

I've done comps as easy as possible and it wasn't unprofessional! So has Spank done a few outside VDC.

Ay Spank, do you, everyone supports you even though they don't say it. 👍

Hmm...sorry, I think I didn't explain myself correctly. Lets remember that everyone has their own point of views.

Lets say that when I mentioned "professionalism", I was referring to points, qualifying, knockout style, etc. Of course, this is a lot of weight for the host, even more when is @SPANK by himself. Nevertheless, as you said above, we'll all support him with whatever he goes with.

When y'all see @SPANK get online on Sunday for VDC.......

The RX7 feels like 4WD. When I initiate it on the first corner, the front always lifts up. so that's why when in the last run, the rx7 feels loose on its line and ended up running over the inside clip (LOL!) @monsterGAUZ gr and tandem, hope you win this again!! :D

I wish I could grab a podium on the last round (My first ever track I ever drifted. [GT4 days])
