Recently i got a virus and my computer and i was forced to reinstall everything. I did some research on the virus, and one of the characteristics was that with ever computer it infects it sends and auto message to this headquaters place in Pakistan i think is was, probably to keep track of its damage.

My thoughts are it may be part of a terrorist attack trying to destroy major bussinesses or something, after all they will try to do anything to get a ripple affect of destruction in the economy.

You may thing it sounds kinda funny but its just a thought id through out there, tell me what you think.

That kind of does sound funny. Pakistan is on our (Australia/America/UK) side after all and are against terrorism or anything like that. It might just be a group of hackers in Pakistan or something.

I guess virus distribution is a form of terrorism at that, if a minor one, but doubt it has anything to do with any major terrorist organistion.

I would guess having the HQ in Pakistan rather than somewhere like the USA gives a lesser chance of prosecution for the perps.

This is a bit too late for you, but I would always recommend Anti-Virus software protection and even with that, caution when opening files you're not expecting. If you dont want to pay for AV software you can download a free package from http://www.grisoft.com

ESET Nod32 is apparently the best antivirus program on the market for about $38 Australian - which wouldn't be all that much American.

They are technically on "our side" but there is an abundance of anti-Americanism there. That's where they all ran to when we cleaned out Asscrackistan (I love that one... thanks to the member I copied it from  )

Speaking of viruses, I have a web based business and I get blank messages with attachments through those accounts almost every day. One time I accidentally opened one and got a virus. My go-back feature took care of it, thankfully. But they are unrelenting. Sometimes I send them back with a message like "**** off" or "Go to hell..." or something like that.
