Stevisiov has one.

It does look good, but it was a bit expensive the last time I checked.

Can you get us a discount, Steve?

Stunning, yes.

At £ 699 it looks worth it, albiet a bit too much for me.

At £ 1699 for complete package (Package includes; VR3 Rig, Logitech DFGT Wheel, Speakers,
VR3 LCD Stand, PlayStation 3, and LCD Monitor)it seems worth it also.

It's worth every Penny.
I have my serial number locked down and I'm waiting for delivery of my V3. I have a V2 just now and can say the only problem I have with it is getting my mate's off of it!

I'm told they now offer a finance package to make it a bit easier on the wallet if it helps. The thing is, ask yourself, How long have you been into driving games? (since way back with GP2, indycar and GPL with me)..

when you factor the cost of this in over a couple of years it becomes less than the cost of a beer a day!

I have it connected to both my PS3 and my PC, and switch between the PC sims (RACE07, GTR2, GTL, Rfactor) and GT5P.

and it's just fantastic.. everyone who sees it thinks it's over the top untill they have had a shot!

Ohh and they are great to deal with..

I'm not connected to them just a happy customer.

cheers

Virtual Roadster have better looks :). Just comparing these compact solutions I guess my RaceCraft don´t belong in this category lol. Looks great and solid nevertheless though :)

Just been advised that I'll have my VR3 before the 1st of Feb..

Pictures when it arrives and a full review

Cheers

Can you that have got it please post some good images of your setup with it?
I would also really love it if you can tell me how adjustable it is? Wheel height...angle... and so on ;)

Anyway...congrats!

OK, It's arrived.. although it was well wrapped up, the outer box did take a hit from the transport however all was fine internally.

Here are some of the first pictures..

VR3-002.jpg

This is the outer packaging very nice job too..

On opening we can see more of the components that when assembled make up the chassis..

Assembly Instructions were emailed out with details of the hotline number for problems. As there's not many component's I don't anticipate any challenges putting it together.. But that's a task for another day... Stay Tuned

So start by joining the two major base sections.

VR3-0027.jpg

Then attach the carbon looking centre section and the wheel support..

VR3-0028.jpg

Now fit the Gear lever Holder and Seat..

VR3-030.jpg

Now attach the monitor mounts wheel gearstick and pedals.. Note that the mount is designed for the G25, I will be moding it to improve the look with the lightning.

vr3_complete.jpg

Lash it all up for a quick spin..

I've still got some work to do with tidying the cable routing and fitting my custom speaker mounts..

End to End a couple of Hours, with interuptions from swmbo ..

Off for a Drive..

Chears for Now..

Nice setup man!!!

How much it costs without the TV stand?

If I did not had my Playsetats Evo chair, I would definatly buy this sexy setup.

By the way, that shifter, is it USB or connects to the Logitech wheel?

Looks like they have really engineered a quality product.

It is simply,.......... stunning.

hi you can get all the details from there web site @ http://www.visionracer.com It's in the Brochure.

Given how long I've put off building my own, and the amount of time I've been into Driving Sims, the investment was worth it from my point of view. It looks fantastic. I don't have to drag a table over to the TV or try to stop my chair at the PC sliding along the floor when I hit the brakes :)

So in my mind it's the cost of a couple of cans of fizzy drink a day, spread over a couple of years... Not a lot and a lot more fun than the fizzy drinks unless you've got some of those mints :ouch:

The Gearstick is a USB device, The Pedals are connected to a a USB adapters and have the brake mod on them. I can switch the pedals between Leo's G25 Pedal adapter and the G25 via a Simple adapter cable. Which allows me to flip between PC games and PS3 games with the G25.. Result.

you can mount the Standard G25 Gear stick instead If you prefer.

The PS3 get's mounted on a plinth behind the screen. and is held on by MEGA Velcro!!

I'll take a picture later..

So If you want one, give them a call and tell them I sent you and you'r looking for a deal..don't know if it'll help but you don't get if you don't ask.

I could always ask them what a deal might look like for the forum if more folks were interested? bulk order? any thoughts..

It is stunning and clearly a lot of thought has gone into the engineering of it. When you consider the folks behind it build bits for real race cars it's hardly a surprise..

Also If your Primary use is with a PS3, It takes up very little space. as the PS3 goes behind the display. (this is just a cheap 28 inch PC Display That I've used).

When you'r in the seat with the screen that close it doesn't need to be bigger to be honest.

Can you adjust anything on it. Like the steering wheel height or the angle of the wheel?
Can you move the shifter up and down, or forward and back for better positioning? What about the pedals, are they able to be moved closer to you, or farther away?
How sturdy is the pedal plate. Do you think it would support very strong pedal setups?

It is a very, very nice looking setup. The only other one I can think of that might look better, would be fanatecs new cockpit, but theirs is probably 2 or 3 times the price.

This is designed for the G25, so you can adjust the seat position, up down, incline & hight a little.

But that's about it. That said My daughters 4'10" and I'm 6' 2" niether of us feels the need to adjust the gear lever position or the wheel.

I've had about 5 of my friends in this version to date and they all have had no complaints about any of the positions.

I've raced for 3 hours in the seat!! only comment, take a small cushion as a lumbar support if your in it this long..

The pedals and wheel are screwed in place. You cannot move the pedals but you can move the seat, just like in a car.

I can't comment on the very strong pedal setups since I've never owned a set of them, or even seen in the flesh, what might be described as a very strong pedal setup.

It's a stainless steel plate on top of which the base pedals mount. I have the nexus brake mod on my G25 pedals so they get hit fairly hard on occasions. (It takes me most of my strength to get that pedal to maximum range, with that mod in place). then again I don't race in boots or shoes.

Somehow the fanatec Rig looks bigger in terms of the space it takes up. That could be an illusion though as they tend to show it with the 3 screens in place. So it's hard to say until you see it in the flesh.

Price wise, I would think there wont be that much in it ..

For me the number 1 point of this rig, is the wife doesn't mind it being in the sitting room as it's so bling...

Great images, this is the first thread i know of to show a VR3 in such detail.
This thread is going to get linked so much, wait and see...

Can i ask if you know if they supply the VR3 without the seat, id prefer a proper bucket seat from a leading brand.
If anything it seems the seat isnt as pro looking as the older VR2 model had.

Also the monitor brackets are these still available in different colours (red/blue/black) well they used to be the options iirc with the VR2

Your welcome, glad you like it, this is the only thread on the net with this level of detail.

The short answer is I don't know. I'd suggest that you drop them an email and ask the question's directly. Simon White is the guy I've been dealing with, (try simon@ you know where) www.visionracer.com

I like the seat, what did you have in mind as an alternative to it?

The monitor stand is an option, however unless your using a wide screen TV or a projector, I think you'd be nuts not to go with it. I suspect there red to match the G25 pedals.

But I've ordered the RS3 Wheel and clubman pedals from Fanatec so when they come, I'll be fitting them. so stay tuned.

Hi again, thanks for the reply.

I dig it when people do these kind of threads and always do review type threads myself bit like youve done here on items that appeal to me. (My old Playseat Review)
Well usually these kind of threads give people out their more incentive to buy and more understanding or closer look in general about the product.

Im looking to build from scratch and have sourced the internet for the past few months getting ideas however i may decide to part build onto an available solution as my plans are for surround gaming using PC and hopefully FM3 and GT5 will support also to be incorporated. I wish they offered this in Triple screen configuration.

I wouldnt pay the £1200 Fanatec is looking and if spending that kind of money could end up with a self made project which would be even better or a VR3 adapted with d.i.y

The VR3 looks so lush so please add more screenshots with closeups of the pedal section, seat forward/back.

Would very much appreciate.

Hr Mr Latte, a triple screen setup is being worked on by our R n D department right now, no time scale as yet but I'll keep you posted, meanwhile I'll organise some of more details shots for you

Simon that would be great i had talked with Geoff/Ashley in the UK last year and almost bought the VR2 but wanted to hold off to see the VR3.

Can you please PM me details of a VR3 without the Seat and would like to discuss some other stuff with you or if the company is considering working with resellers.

I shall try and find out the answer to your questions tonight hopefully tonight. 👍

Thanks

I had received a response email from somone at VR but tbh i was more or less told that its a packaged deal, basically buy it as it comes or dont. Nothing regards a 3 screen version being confirmed, I was told these have to be produced in the thousands to make it viable and as such it depends on wether or not their is then demand for such a version, so i dont expect to see a 3screen model appearing anytime soon.

Of course the VR3 is going to be mass produced unlike the way the VR2 was so its understandable they dont want complications and im sure those guys are finding the price of raw materials increasing and the exchange rates along with increases in courier charges all not helping matters.

Still for me if they are offering a rather high end product tailored at a specialist market then they should have a proper ecommerce facility (thats comming too aparently) and provide options, perhaps like seat choices and small things like those brackets in a few colours.

From what ive seen the new seat isnt a patch on the one used on the VR2 as it resembled a typical £150-£300 style seat and this is what im after really.

Compare their website to playseats.biz which although not in the same league non the less a major competing product and they have loads of options not to mention support for X360, G25 and other PC wheels or the upcoming new Fanatecs like the GT3RS.

Vision Racer offers no clue to if the CLubsport pedals will fit to it or indeed other wheels so thats a hurdle imo they quickly need to inform visitors to the site as to exactly what its compatible with. Fanatec may offer their own competing racing frame product but sorry the people at VR need to understand that the Fanatec wheels are going to be hugely successfull.
It seems a bit weird that thier design of shifter holder and wheel base unit are designed soley for the G25's shape. Time will tell come March when the first GT3Rs wheels appear (have one ordered with clubsports myself) personally if they dont fit then the VR3 hasnt a hope of ever appearing in my household.
The wheel/pedals are more important than the bling bling of a nice frame, besides other frames out their offer much better moveability, a keyboard tray or mouse workability.
VR3 seems to be the designer dressed sim frame.

Gotta say much improved website, looks very good...
£699 is IMO over what most people would pay.
At the end of the day this is just a seat and fancy frame but still let down for true sim fans particulary as for PC i cant attach a keyboard and other designs offer more workability in the seating/wheel region. Although I wish you guys all the best because it is a beauty of a product.

Mistake or Sheer Madness?
I almost fell of my seat when I seen the asking price on the website for a "Logitech G25" @ £279. Are you guys crazy or maybe its a mistake?

With a quick search its easy to find these now for £150 or slightly more these days.
So well mmmmm lets see thats approx 85% more or about £129 more expensive you guys are charging and for what exactly?

Good Luck with that, going to monitor your site to see if this changes or if really your basically just robbing people ...
Not sure what others think but thats extortion.

Well, I only have mine connected to my PC (I'm waiting for GT5 and the new PS4 :grumpy:), I use a wireless Keyboard with built in rollerball and it works fine.. perhaps i'm not hard core enough :guilty: :):)

Yes the cost of the G25 is steep in a vertical sense 💡 but as you pointed out theres nothing stopping you buying the wheel seperately like I did of the net (£150 from more computers if I remember correctly) Just looked @more the wheels now £191 from them!

Last we spoke you were thinking about building your own, Have you built your racing seat yet? if so lets see a picture, or are you saving yourself for something else?

I can tell you, I use my Visionracer a minimum of 4 times a week, it's a permanent setup. I could have gotten a cheaper setup. But this looks great ( shallow I know) If you do get one or build one of these expect to use it as much, as long as you don't show it to your friends!! cause it's very hard to get them off again. And I'd bet that if I'd built it they would have thought Geek.. as it is they look at it and say that looks amazing...

As a point of interest how much do you think they should charge?
and how much do you think most people would pay?

Cheers GSL
