Aaand the plot thickens, once again... This is way too many coincidences for just an April Fools' joke. This is far deeper, VW are planning to get back to this, they enjoyed the first VGT they made so much they are doing it all over again.

It's the Supersport, the same rear appears in the latest video that Volkswagen posted, today.

The exhaust system is also different.

The Roadster have a single exhaust exit above the diffuser while the Supersport teaser is showing a duel exhaust layout.

It appears to be a completely different car when you compare the two pictures. I really hope this comes out to be something awesome.

And a roof, for good measure. Not entirely unique, but if it drives as well as the Roadster, I won't mind that much. Of course, I have to rely on PD to deliver a proper setting for the car...

Nah, I don't think it'll be a Polo. The Golf is VW's proud child, they love that car to death.

An Up GTI would be awesome, though...

I dont know, seems like a pretty odd thing to do an april fools joke about... as in, why troll such a comparatively small community, if you could just troll your entire fan base? unless, of course, Volkswagen didn't set up the joke...

I guess that the Germans behind Volkswagen forgot that some countries celebrate something about jokes and lies on this date... Next time, make sure to avoid releasing real news on April 1st, unless you have some great information behind you.

Wow. I did not see that coming. Very interesting. But judging gy the teaser I don't think it's a hardtop version of the Roadster GTI but rather a modified version of the Golf Vision GTI:

It could be just that, those taillights are eerly similar to the ones shown on the teaser video. Perhaps it's a newer version of that car (the ironically named "Vision GTI Concept"), based on the newest Golf.

Rather, I would like to beleive that VW think their first VGT is not on par with the rest of the VGT.

If all the car manufacturers start to one-up each other like this with VGTs, guess who is winning ?
