Nurburgring lap time record was 6.05 in real life and I managed to do under 6 min without any tuning what so ever in my first run. I feel like its way too fast in the straights compared to the real thing.

In real life you have the worry of crashing! That’s particularly the case at the Nurburgring where only upto GT3 level cars can race in competition.

Like the 919 Nurburgring time. The driver was pushing, but these are PR events. So never 100%.

Did you have tire wear enabled?
Anyway I doubt most cars in the game have very similar Norschleife lap times as IRL.

High downfroce cars like gr1, super formula and also ID. R has exagerated downforce in gt7 (and pd should adjust it), also I think top speed in real life tt was little tuned down probably to make sure battery last.

How long does it last on races with fuel consumption/tire wear? Comparable to other GR. 1 cars? Does the "fuel" get replenished in the same way as ice vehicles?

I detuned it to 800pp in an effort to find a use for it... entered 800pp at Sardenia and it was useless - way too slow by the time it's detuned and it ran out of charge in 3 laps. I may have these EV's all wrong though so someone who understands them better may get different results...

This thing is RUBBISH.

The battery is 3/4 depleted by a single lap in the Sard 800pp race. You have to pit EVERY LAP.

Complete waste of 2,000,000 cr. If they ever allow us to sell cars, this POS will be the first one gone.

@DaiCapp said above it was depleted after 3 laps. So is it every lap or every 3 laps? Either way it's a bit rubbish for this event, but then the real thing was only ever capable of a single run at Pikes Peak or a handful of laps on a modern circuit (without the fuel rate multiplier in the game).

What tyres are the visual model on the IDR? Irl it used Michelin pilot sport GT slicks for the pikes peak car. From what I can find it used Bridgestone potenza 330-40/18 elsewhere. What would the equivalent tyre of that be in game?

So I went and looked and it’s got the Bridgestones but there modelled as racing hard which I don’t think is right.

It could be down to how the detune to 800pp is achieved - I just took all the power I could out the ECU and used the power restrictor to take the rest out. It may be more thirsty if you do it the opposite way around hence why they're only getting one full lap.

Either way, you can't get enough pace out of the car at 800pp to get away having to have extra stops. Until PD give us a hill climb I suspect this car will just be an ornament...

... The cars in the game will always be faster than in real life.

You have a far better view (especially with the hood and bumper cams, or even the chase cams lol to get an all around view).
You have unlimited tries even if you crash.
You can choose not to have tyre wear.
You always have the optimal weather conditions.

GT7 doesn't 100% replicate the downforce levels of real life, it's especially noticeable in Gr.1 cars, however, it's not thaaat far apart to outright disregard it.
