Are the new typ numbers (1b, 1c, 1g) part of the older ones? If not I'll remove them. Also, does anyone know any I missed?

You can't simplify it..
Back in the day you had the Type 1 (Beetle), Type 2 (Transporter), Type 3 (Notchback, Fastback, Squareback/Variant), Type 14 (Ghia) and later Type 4s (411/2s)

For instance a 1H (Golf Mk3) is a 1H, no Type 1.

Ok. I'll remove them. I was confused, as the typ prefix made me think of it as a type.

I saw one once called a Fridolin, google tells me it was type 147.
