@PzR Slim well, CES starts on the 8th... Exciting! If it has a higher resolution, knuckle controllers and is wireless, I might be looking to sell a Vive soon.

From what i’ve read it’s just going to be a refresh. Just a bump in resolution and a wireless solution later in the year.

Edit:

Vive Pro available this quarter. Resolution boosted to 2880x1600 a 78% pixel increase. Backwards compatible, so HMD only option for existing Vive owners. Wireless solution to release in the summer which will be compatible with Vive and Vive Pro. Viveport and Vive Video release today. VR storefront where you can get short experience of any game or video you can look at. Also offering subscription model where you get five games a month for $7.00.

Looking forward to seeing what the HMD only price is. If it’s not ridiculous i’ll probably upgrade. And wireless really could be a game changer.

I'm definitely interested, the Vive Pro being available as a standalone HMD was expected but I'm glad it actually happened, especially given that SteamVR 2.0 introduces new trackers (but I hope it'll also be backward-compatible with the old ones).

In any case, if I don't get a Vive Pro, I'm almost definitely going to get a wireless adaptor!

The Vive Pro will definitely be compatible with the V1 trackers and wands as the HMD only option will be released in Q1 and the full package later in the year.

Sorry, looking back it wasn't clear at all but what I meant was:

That is if it brings other improvements that could be applied to the old hardware, of course.
