Vr issues

While playing gran turismo 7 in VR mode, the video becomes distorted. The problem arose after gran turismo 7's latest update 1.54. The problem is only there while PLAYING the game.

Any menu screen works fine on the PSVR2.

I've already rebuilt the database
Restored the license
Reinstalled the game.

The problem still persists

Are you on PS5 Pro?

You could browse the game store for
PS5 + Free/less than 1$ + PSVR 2, in my region this fits 4 games.
If they also produce the same faulty pictures, this points strongly to a defective piece of hardware.

Does it work correct when not using PSVR2?

I'll try getting another game on disc to try VR on it.

The game works fine when not using VR. It's only when in VR AND driving or doing VR showroom. All other times the VR works.

When the game uses a different section of hardware (be that CPU, GPU, RAM, or storage) depending on which part of the game currently renders (menu, lobbies, racing, and so on) it does not necessarily mean a software issue or a faulty installation.
The way the colours are distorted to me really looks like an error caused by the hardware, but anyway testing different games would help identify whether it is your console, your VRheadset, or maybe just a cable not properly connected.

I'm using the digital download for the game. Would buying the disc version ease up GPU demand when playing the game?

No, the game is 100%, the only difference between disc and download is that you either need or dont need the disc to run the game.
This applies to all games.

As a sidenote: if anything then using the downloaded version would be the lesser burden simply as there is no disc drive requiring an extra bit of power for starting the game. Yet as soon as the game is running there is no difference at all anymore.

Ok, thank you! You just saved me some money!

I have downloaded a free game that uses VR, but I can't open the game past its start menu.
