VR physics easier?

Maybe it's the way you can judge corners better in VR or something but I seem to be able to get away with tailwagging and spirited driving a whole lot more in VR than normal mode.

Anyone else think it's easier and if so, is it VR that's easier because depth perception etc. or the physics in VR mode?

Do you use the same car/settings/camera with and without VR?

I have only used VR quite briefly before selling my set again as it was making me ill and the effects could last hours afterwards. However, I drove around Blue Moon in VR and the track seemed to be shorter (straights shorter) - did not notice my laptimes but it felt odd.

Yes, it's easier to judge corners and speed using your peripheral vision. It's also much easier to 'feel' how the car is sitting on the road allowing you to drive more on the edge and making it easier to recover. Drifting especially is much easier as you can look where you are going and 'rotate' the car around you.

On a screen I still rely on the gear indicator flashing to know when I roughly should start braking with a new car/track combo. In VR you don't have that and I never miss a corner there. It's just feels natural to brake on time, much easier to judge braking and turn in points.

It's not just GT Sport, I have been playing Wipeout in VR and it feels 10 times easier to nail clean laps and hit all the speed pads, as well as aiming the weapons in mid race which I was always very bad at on a screen.

The main difference between "in cockpit" and VR is that you feel much more surrounded by the cockpit, the connection is simply tighter. However, the resolution is not as high so you use a bit of detail in the horizon.

I wish I could do the daily B in VR, that would make it so much easier to drift and keep track of the corners. Sure I can play by myself yet that's just not the same. VR would really help to keep track of all the other cars and the corners.

This is probably because of the difference in the field of view.It may seem strange at first, but that's the right FOV.
