The Randomizer has a true love for my SCPD Charger Hellcat it seems, she always shows up for American Clubman Cup events. As always the 155 is still the only pick for DTM so I'll just run it with both the Alfa and the E30, and we'll see about anything else.

Reasonable week, wasn't that keen on the DTM race like usual but managed with RS and by doing unspeakable things to the final chicane for a few laps, really would love to be able to get realistic specs on the 190 Evo II. The two Clubman Cup races were fun, both on good tracks and the Bathurst race had a lovely time of day change, just watch out for the stupidly fast C8 Corvette if you're in something way below the PP limit, AI is so slow across the mountain it's pretty easy to win otherwise. Evo meeting was pretty easy around 600 PP, think it might be difficult in a stock road car though.

Cars for the week:

Interesting. I just tried the Evo 4 at a little under 600 PP (I think 586 or so) and finished a fairly sorry 7th, a little over 2s behind the leader. And that was with rather gratuitous abuse of the first chicane at the end of lap 2...

My simple report:

Sunday Cup @ Lago Maggiore: Toyota MR2 (an overkill, but it was an undriven car in my collection. So...)
Euro Clubman 600 @ Alsace: Alfa Romeo 8C
Evo Meeting @ Monza: Evo IX
American Clubman 700 @ Mount Panorama: Corvette C4 ZR1 '89 (swapp). This event is one of my favorite in the whole game.
DTM weekly special @ Spa: The same Vette from American Clubman 700.

My 6 stars ticket gave me a Porsche 919 Gr1 which I could sell for a 1,5M, but I decided to keep it. If I'm not mistaken, that's the 2nd or 3rd time the game gives me this car.

Everything was done on easy mode as I'm leaning much more to the "enjoying the drive" side of things rather than "looking for a challenge" gaming mindset.

I got four of these done earlier this morning (normal difficulty).

weekly-challenge-202411w3-r1.jpg

Lago Maggiore - Mercedes S Barker Tourer '29 - I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the car drove pretty much like any other ordinary car. I didn't make any modifications to it. Took the lead in the final corner. Fun race. First ticket obtained.

weekly-challenge-202411w3-r2.jpg

Alsace Village - Porsche 911 Carrera RS (964) '92 - It's been a while since I've driven this track, so it took a few laps to refresh my memory and get used to the car. The only modifications to the car were SS tires and some aero. I was able to take the lead in the final lap. Good fun. Second check mark checked.

weekly-challenge-202411w3-r3.jpg

Monza - Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR '95 - I made an initial attempt at this with only a tire upgrade (SS). It wasn't going to work. At the end of the second lap, I was still fighting over P11. I bailed and went to the tuning shop for all the sport-level mods. That gave the car just enough umph to make the race competitive. I took the lead in the final corner. Good times. Second ticket obtained.

Bathurst - Garage RCR Civic - Even after upgrading the tires to SS, the car was well below the suggested PP of 700, so I wasn't expecting a win here, but I was still hopeful for a top-3 finish. The car was pretty good going up and along the mountain, but no so great on the long straight back down, where it was topping out at 245km/h in fifth gear. It could really use a sixth gear. As far as the race goes, I was pretty easily able to climb my way to P2. The lead stayed way out reach. I finished 10 seconds behind Serrano, and 37 seconds ahead of P3. Good enough for the fourth check mark, though.

Now all that's left is the DTM race. Looking forward to it.

That was ~598 PP on RH because the car I used is using the tarmac rally car specs including the gearing, topped out around 230 km/h or so. Not sure if the field changes order if you restart the race, sometimes the quick cars get stuck in the pack in other races and the car that finished second to me wasn't dropping back much but he only got into second place on the last lap. Had a similar thing at Bathurst this week where Serrano spun and blocked the track on the first lap which meant it took a few more laps before he caught the other Corvette.

Got 1M credits from the 6* ticket stuff to be save for a rainy day.

I was on SS tyres. I'll have another crack at it when I'm online next, maybe give the car a smidge more power to see if that helps.

Finished the final race (normal difficulty).

weekly-challenge-202411w3-r5.jpg

Spa - Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI '93 - I did the race on RM tires. Too easy in the Alfa. I took the lead on lap 3 and never looked back. That gave me the final ticket.

The roulette gave me a Honda NSX-R '02. I already had one so I sold it for 246,000 Cr. Boo!

Rampage with a Rear Weight Bias

I used these first two races this week as an excuse to fine tune my Rampage Swapped DeLorean.

R4 - DeLorean - Act - 3.jpg

The Tune
700PP 540-500hp, ~2750lbs / 1250kg, Racing Soft tires

RACE 5 - DTM at Spa
It took longer than I would have liked to reel in the leaders. The AI seemed to have better acceleration out of low speed corners, BUT I had noticeably more top speed.

1st place, but no clean race bonus sadly. Likely because I slapped a bollard or five.

RACE 4 - American Clubman 700pp at Bathurst
I ran this race several times to sort out traction issues in my DeLorean. I love this track [because it's insane], but I don't love AI traffic jams coming down the mountain. Still, I was shocked to be getting into the lead by lap 2. Only in one race did the overpowered Corvette C8 break away from the pack before I did.

R4 - DeLorean - Act - 4.jpg

The C8 would gain 3 seconds on me in the straightaways; but I'd claw back 5 seconds in the corners.

To solve mentioned traction issues, I sacrificed ~40hp and added ballast to the rear (40/60 wieght distrubtion now). In exchange, I was granted the confidence to gorilla-stomp the throttle on corner exits. Viva la rear weight bias!!!

HOW I FEEL ABOUT THESE RACES SO FAR
Verdict: DeLorean
R5 DTM - DeLorean - Act - 2.jpg

I took a step back and thought to myself. I just fought DTM cars with a V8 powered racing DeLorean.

This stuff makes Gran Turismo magical. I needed that.

Yay Delorean.gif

Awesome livery, and thank you for reminding me that this model exists! My wallet will not forgive you

Pretty fun week.
Spa in my go-to for DTM races. This was a fun one but it was over by the third lap.

Bathurst saw the return of SVG to Australia. Mr. Vette was no match for his return. Won by 10 seconds.

Monza was an easy one too.

Thought I'd go old school at Alsace in my tail happy 911. Just couldn't overtake Beauvois in his Merc. Took second. I'll reattempt it with something less tail happy.

Lago I just wanted to get it over with so easy CRB in one of my EG's. I think I'll try some of my undriven VGT's. lol

Won this with the roulette. Keeper as I don't own one.

This will be an interesting set of races. I will not speak on my non favorite tracks not being used. Not sure what cars I will use but I will figure it out. Most of the races are very short this go round. Looking forward to DTM at Spa

Did weeklies yesterday, most interesting race is at Spa but not so profitable i can say .
The 6* gave me the invitation Bugatti that can be sold very close to a million .
I'll wait till next update to give it since i already have 8 of them .
