Won't be making it this weekend. ToCA finale tomorrow and I have half a chance of not finishing last.

Posting an update: Both SGT and TCWS were postponed until April 8th. I had a migraine bad enough to keep me from moving until about two hours ago. Still not feeling great. I would have been okay sitting out, but others started to have issues of their own so it was best to give everyone a two week break to enjoy Easter and come back hopefully refreshed and feeling better.

What will happen now that there will be proper GT500's in game?

Nothing concrete just yet. A decision needs to be made, although the current consensus is that we will stick with the current setup because we're already halfway though a championship and it would throw a monkey wrench into the BoP and success ballast.

(this is paraphrasing a number of responses and comments in the Discord chat down to something simpler, I take no credit for this)

According to @Eva the Suzuka 1000km special event that's scheduled the GT500 cars will be used for that, though.

What is likely to happen is we will stick with what we have for the rest of the season and work on the GT500 BoP on the side. We are doing a Suzuka 1,000 km race in a couple of months so we will be using them soon

Confirming a couple of things.
1) VRR will be keeping its current car list for the rest of the current Super GT season. Additionally, we will be working on Balance of Performance for the new, official Super GT cars ahead of their VRR debut for the 2018 Suzuka 1,000km.
2) The Suzuka 1,000km entry registration will open to the public on June 1st, 2018. Registration will be open a month earlier for VRR Discord members. This event will be VRR's biggest race to date, with all cars requiring two drivers to split the pair of 500km stints for the race. Up to 12 GT500 and 18 GT300 cars will be able to fight for 6 GT500 and 9 GT300 race spaces across two days of qualifying. As previously mentioned, GT500 will use the new official Super GT GT500 cars. Those wishing to help with BoP testing or want a leg up on registration feel free to join the VRR Discord server with the link in the OP of this thread.

Hi. Is there a thread talking about this? Or just in your mind for now?
We'be been talking about it on Discord for a while. A thread won't open for the public until June.

Race week...take 2. Hopefully no migraines to interfere. Confirm your entry or absence for this weekend's event.

The rest of my season is uncertain due to competing in DRL's Super GT Series. Even if the times don't clash, 2 long races in 1 day is beyond my mental capacity. Plus DRL might be closer to my skill level.

-Provisionals will be awarded to the drivers and teams who have won championships from season 3, and 4.
-The reigning GT500 Champion will be eligible to use the #1 for the 1,000km event. The reigning GT300 Champion will be able to run the #2 for the event.
