Seeing as how we have a banned member in our ranks, I need to go over the protocol for if the ban is permanent. @DurWinning would need to pay attention here. NOTE: This is only if the ban is permanent.
1) Team owner has the ability of hiring a substitute driver, another GTP member, to fill the car and maintain its full time status.
2) Team owner can forfeit the entry back to VRR for redistribution.
3) VRR will redistribute the entry based on a list of potential teams, prioritized by teams with part time drivers and finances, then teams that do not have four full time entries. That list currently is the following:
-Impulse Racing-Audi (1 part time driver)
-Swift Autosport-Aston Martin (1 part time driver)
-Black Rose Racing-Ferrari (1 part time driver)
-Eiffel Tower Racing Team (1 part time driver)
-Cherokee Motorsports-Audi (2 part time drivers)
-Perl Speed GP-Aston Martin
-Scuderia Rabia Furiosa-Chevrolet
-Team Porter-Ferrari
-Starion Motorsports-Ford
-Rainbow Road Racing-Honda
-Ecurie Ecosse-Audi
-Big Blue Motorsports-Chevrolet
-Sovereign Motorsports-Cosworth

If the ban is not permanent, then we will need to figure out how long the ban is, and then the punishment handed out would be that duration of time applied to the beginning of the season, which would start at the Monster Shootout. (Example: Two month GTP ban would be a 60-day racing ban active from 06 January-04 March 2017.) The team would not be permitted to find a substitute for that duration, effectively limiting the field to 32 full time cars for that duration. The team would also be penalized 50 team points.

Weren't we dealing with this, for the same person, over a year ago?

Big news day.
Following the 2017 season, Audi and Aston Martin are set to depart from the series. Audi, which is in the middle of a reorganization and reduction in activities, will uphold their 2017 contract deals before leaving. Aston Martin, who is set to debut in 2017, has come to a decision to not renew with VRR beyond next year. Aston Martin and Audi both have small entry bases. Audi is supplying engines to seven cars in 2017, while Aston Martin is only supplying four. That leaves 30 of the 41 total entries in other stables.
VRR CEO Evangeline Porter has decided to expand the full time field to 33 cars, and because of some of the major overlay between the full time field and the part time drivers, has outlined a provisional pre-qualifying system.

Three new entries have been made available, with the order of availability going as follows:
1) Sovereign Motorsports-Cosworth
2) Polaris Motorsports-Chevrolet
3) Cat Devil Racing-Honda
If one of the above three decline an entry, the entry will be passed on the following list.
4) Impulse Racing-Audi
5) Swift Autosport-Aston Martin
6) Black Rose Racing-Ferrari

Sovereign Motorsports have already signaled their intent on accepting an entry, having asked VRR for clarification on how this will affect their financial outlook. Polaris Motorsports and Cat Devil Racing have yet to make their decisions known.

The Pre-Qualifying system will come into place whenever there are more than 33 cars entered into a points paying event, excluding Indianapolis. The system will be updated every 8 races as well as at the end of the season, and those within the top 24 in owner's points will be safe from pre-qualifying. Due to the 2016 finishing next weekend, a detailed list of what cars have to pre-qualify will not be made available until the Monday after.

The Daytona event scheduled for March 26th has been cancelled according to VRR officials. Reasons given include a very concerning safety risk regarding parts of the infield portion of the track and the turns 3 and 4 of the oval portion. VRR has stated that those that purchased tickets to Daytona can use those tickets at Homestead-Miami with no additional charge. VRR CEO Evangeline Porter could not be reached for comment, but it is rumored that the series is exploring making Edmonton's race weekend a double header to make up for the loss.

VRR CEO Evangeline Porter has made the decision to not hunt for a replacement of the Daytona event, which had been cancelled on the grounds of safety concerns. It has also been replaced as a testing venue in favor of Sebring International Raceway, which will host an open test after the 2017 Monster Shootout in Las Vegas. Porter also announced that there would be one test in December at Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. The test will be a two day event on December 17th and 18th.

This is not a first time anyone likes to set, but as of today, November 25th, 2016, Jesus Cristobal has been indefinitely suspended from all VRR activities. Everyone in VRR knows that there are rules and laws that must be adhered to within VRR and outside of it, and drug trafficking and selling is a massive strike against that. Cristobal had a very bright future ahead of him. He was, and remains a VRR IndyCar race winner, and a contender for the 2016 championship. His previous accomplishments will remain in the record books. Now, Hugo Del Prete and Team Kate Upton has 7 days from today to find a replacement for the #24 or forfeit the entry to VRR for us to redistribute it.

I am so tempted to make a Randy Lanier or John Paul Jr. joke right now... My bad taste sensors are going off the clock though, so I'll back off.

Team principal for Impulse Racing, Asumi Matsuo, spoke to the press on Sunday regarding the possibility of the team receiving a third entry for the season in the instance that Team Kate Upton cannot find a replacement for the now suspended Jesus Cristobal. "We would certainly take whatever VRR decides to hand us if we get it. Whether we would put in Tyler Parker or lease it to Cherokee Motorsports to make more of a profit is something that would have to be decided then, but we wouldn't pass it up." Matsuo also confirmed that if non Audi teams offered the right price, they would potentially loan out the entry for a year and have it returned for 2018. "The problem we have is that we were not prepared to have a three car effort for 2017. And it is now too late to secure the extra funding to do so. As much as we want to run that third car, we don't want to put ourselves in a pitfall immediately, so if non Audi-powered teams feel inclined to make their bid if it is passed to us, time would be ticking from the moment we get the nod."

I'm sure everyone has heard the news. If not, long story short is that TKU and Jesus Cristobal have parted ways. His recent actions were inexcusable and we had no other choice. With this development I'm left with two things. 1st being full control of TKU. The 2nd being an open seat. Normally the hunt for a replacement would be well underway. However we're going to further develop our current lineup and relinquish the spot to VRR for their decision. It's a dark time for TKU, but hopefully we'll bounce back.

Following Team Kate Upton's relinquishing of their open spot, VRR has offered it to Impulse Racing, who has accepted and is now open to bids to lease the spot for a year after revealing the team did not have the finances to host the third entry themselves. Impulse Racing team principal Asumi Matsuo revealed exactly what the team's financial situation looked like and why they were opening themselves up to offers from other teams:
2017 Start of the Year Expenses
Expenses-Car #3=$4,500,000
Expenses-Car #6=$4,325,000
Expenses-Car #26=$4,500,000
Total Starting Expenses=$13,325,000

2017 Start of the Year Income
Sponsorship-Car #3=$5,000,000
Sponsorship-Car #6=$4,000,000
Sponsorship-Car #26=$4,500,000
Total Starting Income=$13,500,000

With the team already having to figure out how to fund the rest of what's needed for fuel and tires for the opening race of the season, the team has decided that the best route is to put the entry for sale.

With the announcement that Impulse Racing will be selling the extra full time spot they have. Swift Autosport has thrown their hat in to the ring of teams that would be interested in purchasing the spot for the 2017 season. Following what seemed to be a very bumpy 2016. This has everyone wondering what Swift Autosport could do with that spot.

Seems like Impulse Racing has opened up the bidding for the spot. Seth already said he was interested but I guess we have some money to throw around for now. That spot could help us out in someway though.

Watching the richer teams fight is fun. :P
It's especially fun when I am the only one with the financial reports at the moment, so I know who has how much.
