After an emotional victory at Apricot Hill, we sat down with nascarfan1400 and had a few words with him as they made a rest stop on their way to Germany, en route for the final round of the VRR, Nurburgring.

VRR.com: Nas, after the win at Apricot Hill, you were awfully emotional, why is that?

Nas: Well, it had been a few years since I've accomplished a win, that wasn't later a DQ, in any points paying GTP series... Going up against the likes of @BRRT_Angel and criminal, it was a crazy thing to come to the line in first.

V: During the race, you had led almost all of the first half, how did you go from being 3 laps down last week, to 3 seconds ahead this week?

N: I found the mojo. I understand the track at Apricot Hill, I always have had a great flow in the first sector, and that's what gave me an upper hand.

V: You found yourself spinning towards the end, did you think it was over?

N: Definitely. I thought there was no way that I could recover more than a 2nd. I drove a good 90% of my race, and a good final 3%, but the 7% in between was nothing but luck. Dcriminal and Angel made a few more mistakes than I did, and I made one. But I made one where it counted. I'm not happy with myself for that, but fate had it that it was finally my time to win one.

V: You had an absolute dogfight with Angel. Describe it.

N: Firstly, if it wasn't for Angel, I wouldn't be here. She gave me a setup that worked. We were on 90% of the same setup, and she had fresher tires. I drove my yellow bumper stickers off the car, I pushed every ounce I had, she beat down the back end, I don't know how, but I blocked correctly and held her off, I couldn't believe I just had beaten her.

V: Looks like you earned your spot in the series. Would you agree?

N: No, haha. I'm not some big shot because I won a race. I am glad I got a win, and I think I earned respect back among my peers from Spa and Suzuka, but I've got a long way to go still. Maybe I earned a spot in the series, maybe I didn't, I did my best though and that's all my team wanted, and I'm glad it worked out in the end.

V: Do you think the momentum will carry to Nurburgring?

N: I sure hope so. I'm not good there, but if I keep the fenders clean, and hope that luck stays with me, I think I have a shot at another podium.

Haven't really thought about teams per say so much as manufacturers. It'll be hard to organize actual teams.

I'm having funny issues with the Nurburgring 24hr track (all layouts that include the Nordschlief have this problem) the track will disappear sometimes and then my game will freeze. Even in an online lobby.....

You might want to step in GT300 since you are a silver licence driver. Tuning is allowed and you can have the #22 for this as well.

FINALE RACE DETAILS: Due to concerns raised earlier in the week, the finale will be a dry race, fixed to 0%.
SEASON 2 DRIVER PICTURES: For those with solid driver entries for the upcoming season, send in a side shot of your race car for me to post on the website. If necessary, I will take one for you. Send them to me over PM here or the colors you want your car to be for me to take the picture.
FINALE BROADCASTING: Final details are being arranged for broadcasting this event off of race replays. That means we'll have commentary for the first time! Once all of that is arranged, the team will be announced.
SEASON 2 TESTING: Next Tuesday, I will begin testing cars at the Ascari Race Resort, VRR's official primary race track. Those with specific clearance will be allowed to help test. Others can just come to watch.

Wheels don't matter and as long as the car is stationary, location doesn't matter.

No. However it would be a strong recommendation. Only two platinum drivers would be allowed to jump into a GT300 car.
