So far the R.S.01 is proving really difficult to get right. She's quick in the high speed stuff but suffers from low and medium speed understeer badly. What's really gonna kill me is the 7-speed transmission. The ratios are so close that I have 0 acceleration out of low speed corners compared to the cars with 6 speeds.

I can get her to behave herself by really hustling her in my usual style, but so far I may be destined for mid-rear of Pro class.

Sorry to make work for you @Eva , but could I change my sponsor to shell? It would just be easier to make for me. I've had a quick look through the list and I don't think it's taken.
That would be okay.

Interested to see what this support series is as I may consider switching to that and freeing up a slot in the endurance races for someone else as I’ve been out of the game for 3 years and this is the first organised racing I’ve done on Gran Turismo

The suggestion was made last night for the support series to be turbokarts.

Now, I hadn't had that much to drink at the time that suggestion was made, but...

I don’t think the karts would make for good racing tbh, I’d be happy enough if it was the Gr.4 spec cars or a one make series like an Audi TT Cup or BMW Z4

There are two series being planned. The Kart Championship is running on different weekends and isn't a support series. The support series is a one make and is in the process of having regs figured out.

Going to outline the "long term" plan for the series just so everyone has an idea of the road the series is going.
-Season 1 will see the beginning of VRR specific BoP. These adjustments will be made on top of the BoP set in place by PD themselves to hopefully further balance the field.
-Season 2 will see the introduction of a P1 class as well as a GT3 class. Drivers that are ranked Pro through the placement tests coming up will be able to reserve their place in that class up to 12 cars. The spots left open from those twelve entries will be filled by handpicked Am drivers or new drivers that have prior experience within other GTPlanet racing series in those types of cars. A special BoP will be made for those cars as well.
-Pro class in season 1 will be restricted to 12 cars determined by those that get within a set percentile of the fastest recorded lap through the placement tests.
-32 person races will be the anticipated method of working these events, with one lobby being hosted by myself, and the other being hosted by a trusted VRR member yet to be determined. If the series dips below 20 full time entries, then the series will revert back to 16 entries per event, with the remainder determined by points position placed on the reserve list.
-Due to the expanse of entries and how the race order will be compiled, full course yellows, or safety car periods, are not currently being planned. A system has been devised, but its use is at the moment restricted to a single lobby event.
-Race starts will be further defined in a week to clear up possible confusion. Currently, the races are planned to be a rolling start from the drop of the green flag, but more testing needs to be done to see if the open lobby practice sessions are able to sustain a qualifying order that carries over to the race itself.
-Any support series organized will be restricted to one lobby events. the THEC is the only planned VRR series to run a multi-lobby set up barring an unforeseen ballooning beyond our current numbers.

Highly disagree with no Safety Cars (see "Days Of Thunder" Arguement) but I guess I see why that has been done. We shall see how multilobby racing works but I'm not a big fan in all honesty, is what it is though, not gonna let whining and moaning get in the way of probably the best season of any VRR A Spec racing... Certainly the most healthy.

I am working on some possibilities to allow safety cars into our current setup, but it requires a lot of thought into it, and making sure the correct people are in place to make it work. It's not off the table, but at the moment, I feel it is easier to let everyone race through reasonable issues. There is a procedure created for if one of the lobbies collapses, and that will be posted tomorrow with the support series. But anything extra will need some serious thought put into it.

Will the adjusted BoP be track specific or will it be a fixed BoP throughout the whole season?
Hoping to be fixed throughout the season. With the amount of cars available, variable BoP just isn't something I can do with my current schedule. Any adjustments to the BoP won't be made until November 18th.

I see. Good to know we're still running both placement tests on the same BoP.

#48 is taken. Rest looks fine.

Interested in signing up, do I have to DM the Director or can I post my entry in the thread?
You can do either since I'd be the one seeing it regardless.

There's a list of allowed cars in the OP of the thread, in case you're wondering. Unfortunately the Evo is not one of them.

Yeah, i just looked at it. will look at my inventory and cross reference what is allowed. I did the contract thing with Mitsubishi and kinda wanted to stick with it, ah well. lol

Those that cannot make the trials in the designated times will need to schedule a private test. Drivers that fail to appear at a test and fail to schedule a private test before November 18th will be moved to the reserve list, and drivers on the reserve list will be bumped up to the race roster. So for those on the reserve list looking to try to get a spot on the race roster, doing the placement tests are pretty important.

I can do the placement on either the 4th or 11th.
All depends on your comfort level, given the fourth is this weekend.
Rooms are looking kinda full, may have to do a private session.
There shouldn't be a ton of traffic during the tests. The GP track is quite a large track.

If the decal uploader isn’t available by the time the season is about to start, I’d like to use NTN as my sponsor.

I was lookin at it room an overloading the room standpoint. Know the servers for GTS should be stronger than the old GT6 servers, but never know.

We had a test at Suzuka a few days ago, and there was only one case of lag. Our Australian drivers even connected fine, and we had as many as 14 in the lobby at one time.
