Going to outline the "long term" plan for the series just so everyone has an idea of the road the series is going.
-Season 1 will see the beginning of VRR specific BoP. These adjustments will be made on top of the BoP set in place by PD themselves to hopefully further balance the field.
-Season 2 will see the introduction of a P1 class as well as a GT3 class. Drivers that are ranked Pro through the placement tests coming up will be able to reserve their place in that class up to 12 cars. The spots left open from those twelve entries will be filled by handpicked Am drivers or new drivers that have prior experience within other GTPlanet racing series in those types of cars. A special BoP will be made for those cars as well.
-Pro class in season 1 will be restricted to 12 cars determined by those that get within a set percentile of the fastest recorded lap through the placement tests.
-32 person races will be the anticipated method of working these events, with one lobby being hosted by myself, and the other being hosted by a trusted VRR member yet to be determined. If the series dips below 20 full time entries, then the series will revert back to 16 entries per event, with the remainder determined by points position placed on the reserve list.
-Due to the expanse of entries and how the race order will be compiled, full course yellows, or safety car periods, are not currently being planned. A system has been devised, but its use is at the moment restricted to a single lobby event.
-Race starts will be further defined in a week to clear up possible confusion. Currently, the races are planned to be a rolling start from the drop of the green flag, but more testing needs to be done to see if the open lobby practice sessions are able to sustain a qualifying order that carries over to the race itself.
-Any support series organized will be restricted to one lobby events. the THEC is the only planned VRR series to run a multi-lobby set up barring an unforeseen ballooning beyond our current numbers.
