wheels, fenders and sideskirts look different...

what do you think?

I'm not sure. Like you said; the wheels, fenders and side skirts do look different. However, the fact the number plate says "Design Vision GTI" makes it possible. Although, if it were a special edition limited to GT6 as I believe these Vision cars may be (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) then why would it have been put out to the general public? I for one saw it on a news website yesterday.

I don't like how everyone is going with the flared front bumper vents, Audi and many others are starting to put this into design and it's just awkward and these types of cars. I love the interior, bar the headless racer helmets strapped in the back, seems like a wasted feature...wouldn't I be wearing it instead?? Love the engine so yeah not too bad.

Oh and I love that is it probably a realistic car for manufacturing, something that I didn't like with the MB. Overall it just seems like a special edition GTI not a complete from the ground up new car like MB did, so this didn't seem like it was too hard to do.

That's not the exact Vision Gran Turismo car, that's different.

This will certainly be a Race Car version of the Golf Vision GTI, here we can see the same shapes from the front bumper and headlights. We don't know if we will see the Show Car version.

But seriously we don't need a thread for this, this car has already been discussed about a long time

That car is a work of art! Frickin Beautiful!!
...too bad it has an automatic transmission. :yuck: :banghead:

If that beetle gets put in the game I have found my new favorite car, paint it matte black with maroon rims and I'm done and can destroy other cars in piece

Looks like an evolution of the VW Golf GTI W12 concept of 2007 (it was featured on Top Gear). If this was VWs' effort for Vision GT, I would be a bit disappointed.

I find it funny how they put huge shiny wheels on these concepts, like it's a lowrider straight out the hood.

Not automatic and not fully manual, it's DSG.

Call it whatever you like, but may no mistake, it's still an automatic transmission - a glorified automatic, but an automatic nevertheless. If the car will shift gears for the driver, without needing the driver to physically change the gear (via gear shift or paddle shifters) for himself/herself, then it's an automatic - regardless if the damn thing gives your the option to change the gears yourself. See the "P", "R", "N", & "D"? It will shift gears on it's own. Give me a regular manual transmission any day.

Anyone get the QR code off that SuperBeetle? Does it point to anything?

Incorrect. Like many many 'automatic' transmissions in more expensive cars, it features an override so it can be used as a 'sequential' shifter, so you'll have complete control of the gears.. beside D you'll see the +/- for the manual mode.
