Correct post

...[unwarranted] apologies...

Unfortunately, Johnny has a point, and we should, ideally, ensure that everyone adds a "default" tuning setup, as this is part of the W.M.A. Tier 1 grouping idea, I had. "Tier 1 should have no tuning, and should be a nice, easy way to start off in W.M.A. and GTPlanet.

So, while we can't enforce that everyone use a stock setup, we can set up a "general" tune, which will work at all tracks, and which all drivers must use, using an "honour" system.

I'm honestly disappointed that the GT5 lobby system doesn't allow us to add upgrades, without changing tuning setups.

Certainly, it's a good idea to make a firm decision, as to whether we're allowing tuning, and which parts will or will not be adjustable.

I'd like to see the cars keep modifications to some extent. The cars are extremely boring to drive stock, really really boring..

What if we allowed basic performance upgrades like fixed sports suspension. Either leave the tranny stock or fit the close ratio non adjustable 6 speed. Stock LSD, upgrade clutch and flywheel, etc, etc. The idea being use parts that don't have any adjustments.

Just not stock.

It's not that, that's the problem. The specs will all be equal, anyway. It's the tuning (camber, ride height, LSD sensitivity etc.) that we are discussing. We need a firm idea, of whether we'll allow tuning, or run without tuning.

Oh, slight misinterpretation. If that is the case then I vote for tuning and hopefully trust the honor system. I can honor the honor system 👍

But, the problem is, we want to help newer/newest GTP drivers be competitive, despite the potential lack of tuning experience. If we allow tuning, should we give a general "overall" tune to the beginners?

Yes. Understanding that everyone has a different driving style, give a slight range for tuning the various parts and explain it to the beginner, "if you desire oversteer...." Not as deep as a tutorial but hopefully you get the idea.

Hopefully it doesn't get overly complex though.

Okay. I'll run this by Nizmo, and then set up a setup.

Trying to tune a setup is a very difficult task to a new comer ... I've only recently learned how to tune relative ...

So list of approved parts ...

Stage 3 Weight Reduction
Carbon Bonnet - Body Colour
Titan Exhaust
Sports Air Filter
Single-Plate Clutch
Semi-Racing Flywheel
Sports Suspension
Tyres - TBD this weekend

Then there's no issue about who tunes what or who's got the better setup ...

Yeah hook me up also

AnTiheLT/williebaby28/WR Blue Mica/White

I suggest that there will be set either an PP/BHP limit, so everyone is running with the same parts allowed

After oil change my car has 75BHP & 326 PP

Welcome Ant ...

I just need to get home to determine the HP/PP with the new regulations ... I've updated the OP with the new regs ...

This sucks ...".. I'm definitely going to miss this series.... Well most of it! Wonderful

^👍 Agreed. :) Hopefully it also makes for really close racing.

Count me in.

Oh hi there, Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge teammate. :ouch:

And Rolex GT competitor....

As you can tell, you seem to sign up for a lot of series, without intentions of coming to them. :scared: Tacom, we don't mean to be rude, but, you haven't shown to be the type who's actually interested in any races, yet you sign up.

If you're serious about this series, welcome!

If you're not, please, don't put us through the hassle of having to wonder "is he actually going to come?"
