Wallbanger's 2nd Annual FF Summer Shootout

I have the 2.0 version
Okay with your gears and that final and top speed setting the maximum indicated speed in the upper right corner is 88mph, is that correct or are we missing something here.:odd:

It is common that once a tune is published and the car is put on share that it is locked in until after the event is finished or in this case until the end of the first round. This prevents people from continuously changing a tune that Test Drivers may have already started testing.
Since your new here and haven't been involved in previous F.I.T.T. events and no one has started testing yet to my knowledge I'll give you a one time pass if there is a serious change you wish to make to your tune. That said the sooner you make any changes the better, please don't use this as an excuse to continue tweaking the tune until right before the deadline and then changing it.

Only the one tune will be used for both tracks, the only change is the tires as you must have a set of dirt tires for Toscana and Sports Hard tires for Laguna Seca.

Hi XD , i don't know that you should make one tune for both tracks .i only make change in final gear to adjust dead line speed so the car same every thing final gear defernt so what i will do???i know my setup for the gear bad aleardy .So no way to fix it back after i post it . but for the tuner please take alook on setting cheets a ,b and choose the high top speed on top right corner to use in both tracks .

Yes, I might need a little help?, I don't know, it worked for me, I might need to hire a test driver!

Sorry no you have to go with one transmission setup for both tracks. That is part of the challenge for this Shootout. In real life you can't change your gear ratios when you go from pavement to gravel roads and this is the same. Yes a transmission tuned for a specific track would give improved performance on that track but here you have to do the best you can to deal with both tracks using just one tune.

What is your indicated top speed in the upper right corner of the transmission setup screen? If it is 88mph then I'm good, if it is different then you need to reset your transmission to default then work it again to get your same settings you have now and tell me what you've done.

It hits top out at the first turn of laguna, so it just might work!, Toscana will be double checked!

Yes we are in unison!

Can i use the ABS at one setting?

Okay will break it in then and place it on share.👍👍

What do you mean break it in?

Hey I don't care if I win or lose, but one favor, I just want to know which place i come in.

I also seen a prize list and I would tell u that I would not want the prize, but would rather have the respect, I know this tuning forum is for begginer's to find a good tune,

But there needs to be more tune trading between master tuners, as that would open this community a little more. I would just like to say I think this competition is a great way to do this!

Now as far as my tune shop goes I want to be a solid dirt, snow, rain, and drift tune master!

It is a premium car. Premiums have to do almost 200 miles before they reach full power. That is the break in period.

Awesome, but that beg's the question, engine overhaul, or not?

Oh and that was an honest, opinion, what do u think?
Generally just an oil change is all that is required after the car is broken in.

The OFC-1 concept's displacement is not given, it's simply ---, so I don't think its eligible... :odd:

Hey thanks bud, even if it is listed as that any body can tell what engine size is in a car as should I have all the cars in the game memorized with there engine sizes., and on real life as I work for mechanics., but once again thanks friend!

If you read the cars description it has an updated version of the engine used in the Copen. Also it is a Kei class car which mandated a maximum displacement of 658CC and 63HP in stock form.

I see, apologies then. 👍

Heres my entry,

Great choice of car 👍

@CyKosis sorry to hear about your wife, hope she is doing better and you can get moved soon.

Thank you, good Sir. My wife is well enough to moan about being on light duties ;) I'm hoping we'll be in soon...

Do standard cars purchased through the online car dealership with zero miles need the 200 mile break in?

Check, power limit it to 400pp, run a seasona once or twicel, if when you come back the HP has risen, then it needs a break in. Simples. :)

Nope. All cars in the UCD + OCD are broken in prior to purchase/do not require break in.

Its been my experience that Online dealership cars and/or super low mile UCD (under 200miles) cars DO require break in miles. I've spent many frustrating hours trying to figure out why i couldn't get the transmission settings as posted to match up, only to find out that was the problem.

This is what I thought but was looking for clarrification. The rules for this competition require cars to be "fully broken in" and "oil change." I may be short on time this week so don't know if I'll be able to spend 200 miles with my entry.

Break in effects transmission now? First I have heard of this one?

If the power numbers of the car your working on do not exactly match up to what is listed in the tune then you won't be able to get the individual gear settings to match what is listed. This really only applies when your trying to build a copy of a tune from one of the garages on this site, I only mentioned it because that is how I learned the hard way that pp and hp will continue to creep upward slowly until about 250 miles are on the odometer so to speak. As far as spending the time to do the break-in phase, the b-spec grand valley endurance is only 25 miles or so shy of 250.

Well, ladies and gents, welcome to the:

All Japan (In America) Wrestling Power Boards!

All cars were driven for a period of 3 laps, with Sports Hard (or Dirt, in case of Toscana) tires and Real grip changes. I also left the Time change option on for Toscana (What kind of road trip has always sun and no night!?)

Damn! 7sec difference? Crazy!

Took me some time to swallow, but yes, it is quite the gap. Unless anybody else pulls a miracle, my vote for Driver's choice stays with trackripper123 and his Mazda. But remember, Harvey's peeking through the door... :nervous:
