Wangan Masters Tournament Season 6 | REGISTER NOW!!!

I know most cars top speed, trust me on a 800 lol. So the R34 can compete.

Isn't that car capable of outputting more? We might make a compromise at 850 but like I said, well do some test runs this weekend to see. I'm looking to get SSRX this weekend finally but that in no way means that the track will make a return for the series. Just for testing purposes.

R34. The highest street one, gets 797 Hp.

Really? I swore it was more. I'll have to check how much HP my Gold R34 has once I get home from work and see just how fast that thing goes. If anything, that is if I end up with the 750hp class, it would have to run in that class. I was doing touge testing since the update, I'm gonna have to get on the Wangan soon to do these test runs.

Top speed for the R34 @ SSR7 with no draft and SS tire grip is around 232.

After a good deal of testing, I've come up with the following classes:

900hp will be for the fastest cars, those that can reach speeds in excess of 240mph on their own without drafting.

750hp will be the next one down the line. Cars which can reach nearly 230mph on their own. I take it this will be the most popular class, as this is where most of the 600pp cars will fall under.

600hp is where most of the 550pp cars will be participating as well as others with average top speeds just under 220mph.

400hp-FF. This speaks for itself. 400 horsepower, Front-engine, front-wheel-drive cars will duke it out in this class.

If anyone wants to share their thoughts or input, feel free to reply to the thread. Until the season starts, these numbers aren't final. Any input is appreciated.

Guess that puts my R33 in a pretty difficult position. 625 hp but it can only do 213mph on its own. My Esprit is likely to slot into the 900 hp category as it can do 243mph on its own (SSRX) despite having 718 hp.

So my 714 bhp R33 will have fun. Hey Snake, that detunes 1 car a tiny bit. The z32.

The classes will go as follows:

C: 400hp FF
B: 600hp
A: 750hp
S: 900hp

@SK you could detune it (R33) to run in B class or max it out to run in A class. As for Black Thorn, I guess it will still be a force to be reckoned with in A class, unless it's so unfair that it must be moved up to S class. That remains to be seen.

@JC some sacrifices must be made lol. That was was plenty fast, I'm surprised not many people ran them.

Because you will spin out if you run it lol. Walter and I are way too aggressive in it. Which leads to a 2nd lap spin out.

OP UPDATED

Testing for Season 6 is underway. I spent some hours yesterday running with JC, Optomuscrime and Slender on the Wangan trying to find out an ideal setup for the classes for WMT's next season and beyond.

Like I mentioned before, the limits I've set up aren't final, as we're trying to find a balance fairness and fun. Some new classes were also proposed and as we do some more testing we'll decide which end up as the official classes.

440PP Sports Hard was introduced yesterday as the special "Midnight Club" class and is looking to be very fun indeed. There seems to be a good balance at that PP range as most cars don't have enough power to be overpowered and the lighter cars are weaker in power but high in acceleration. This hasn't been deemed an official class yet but I'm looking into it.

Also, the other classes are being looked at. 600hp and 900hp hasn't been tested yet. 750hp might need adjusting. Maybe changed to 700hp or 800hp. We need all the input we can get so I've posted the links to sign up for Season 6 below.

Season 6 won't begin until there are at least 10 drivers signed up for any given class. The signup sheet still has the old format (by PP) but that will be changed once there are enough people signed up. If you are interested in participating in the testing phase and next season of WMT that you sign up for the 600PP class so that all names are in one list. Doesn't matter which car you sign up with as you're able to change it once we come up with the OFFICIAL CLASSES for the forthcoming season.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all on the Wangan during the coming weeks!! Happy Driving!!

Updae 2.11 has apparently restored the orginal PP numbers and cancelled the changes.

Does this mean we will return to the PP restrictions or press ahead with HP limits?

We will still be going forward with a new regulation system combining Horsepower, Weight and PP for the sake of ultimate balance amongst the classes.

So far the only class confirmed for the next season of WMT is the Midnight Club class for vehicles running 400hp, no lighter than 1050kg and sporting no more than 510PP.

The Supercar class will be running upwards of 500hp. No weight or PP limit has been established yet.

The Masters class will be 700hp. No weight or PP limit has been established yet.

If you detune the Supra, the Esprits will gain a lot of room lol. Esprits fall under 700 hp and are faster.

I'll stick with my Esprit for the Masters class, just slightly detuned.

I may run an FC in the Midnight Club class with my own tune for the first time (gear ratios included)

As for the Supercar class, I have no clue what to run but I might turn to the Audi R8 V8 once again

I'll be running the NA1 NSX you've seen me online with for the Midnight Club class. I might bring back my 512BB and R33 for Supercar and Masters class, respectively. Or something completely different. Still need some more test runs to find a good balance for competition around the 500hp range.

Once all the classes and restrictions are finalized will be when i finalize my tuning i can't keep changing and testing for a 400hp class if its gonna change to include pp restrictions, the same goes for the now "500hp" class i thought was 600 or "700" that was 750 etc.(top of page 92) looking forward to finally getting on the track
