Tried to join here a few times in the weekend... NOTHING BUT connection errors.... very irritating since I havent played in AGES and really wanted too... Hopefully I'll make it in one of these days...

just had an awsome great race! Thanks to Tizzla for the exiting last 2 laps and my biggest thanks to Panda Type R from Japan and the other driver's aswell.
Very cealn race and OMG the fights were incredible.

By the way everybody, in case somebody comes up here and starts complaining that i was blocking... well that is called defend my position and that is how we drive in real life races aswell :)

Im saying this cause last time i did get compains about blocking, well thats the whole point of it, im not gonna let anyone just drive by:)

ANOTHER GREAT RACE with Tizzla and GTP_Toivonen and Panda Type R.

Chris

why you guys do every 30 minutes

this event can be done in 20 minutes

my best lap with Amuse s2000 is 1'33.777

Had a few good races with you :).
But you are 0.5 - 0.75 a lap faster. Best lap I ran so far is a 1'34.24X.

BTW: I run minimum weight and max downforce.

just set my best overal.
15:34:542.leading all the race but not perfect laps:tdown:
2 good laps at 1:32:9xx 2 crap laps at 1:33:5xx and the most of them at

Yeap was great fun mate 👍

I just had a great race with FAK_EV1L. He was running i assume very low 32s and maybe even high 31s:crazy: with the corvette. I was running mid 32s and never saw our gap decrease:ill:.He is officially crazy.

That's hauling ass, although I wouldn't be surprised if he was using the clutch during the race to achieve those times. There was a discussion about this a few months back regarding FAK.

Maybe the man himself can answer this question...

Yep, i was using the mod...i run high 32s with paddles and flat 32s with mod.I would like to see that discussion too.

I would like to see that discussion too. I'm racing online for quite a while and every time i ran a car with a clutch i used it. Is there a ''gentlemen's agreement'' that i'm not aware of?

Yes. Because the clutch is a gimmick, a cheat, that gives you no shift lag. Everyone that doesn't have a G25 is therefore slower by default. Even though he/she may be the better driver.

Hey FAK!,

great times with the vette, my fastest in free run with the GTLM was a 32.9 and with the vette a ultra slow 34.0

Would you mind posting a replay or maybe a setup, since i can't keep up with the vette times.

Thanks and great job

Chris

ps:is the clutch mod that thing we saw with UFUK and AMIR? btw, for my times im using sequential shifter

What is this mod you are talking about? Is it anything special or by mod you mean just using the clutch?

I believe they are talking about the clutch "trick".

Long time ago there were some P1 time's in the time trails and if you looked at the gear shifts on any car, they seemed to be "flatshifting" (like a Nissan GTR)

You can do that by having a second person hitting triangle right when you shift.
In one lap, like Fuji this will gain you 3-4 tenth.

Wow! Thanks for clearing that up. I can't believe how this is possible during a race.:dunce:

well, you can try it once during arcade play. drive and if youre using a G25, right before you shift, start tapping triangle really fast until the gear shift is over, you can keep your foot on the gas 100% - that saves time

Thanks for clearing that up 👍 Tony said high 31's to low 32's and I thought no way without using the clutch  I can find that discussion for you later today, I have to go to work shortly so don't really have much time to dig it up atm.

With the Amuse I've done 1'32.3xx in free air (using paddles), and around consistent 1'32.5xx if I'm really pushing 👍 I think the Amuse is probably a bit quicker than the vette tough 👍

I think that discussion is in the registry members only forum.

I don't get it. With the GT LM i just did a 32.3 but with the amuse and vette i cant get below 33.5. :scared:

Anybody mind sharing a replay?

Chris

Yea, I believe you're right Andy 👍 :dopey: It was in the driver black list thread IIRC :scared:

I'll try and get a replay for you tomorrow using the Amuse Chris 👍 Haven't had much time for a proper session in GT5P in the past few days unfortunately :nervous:

i thing that in order to achive this times with a vette or amuse you need at least have the aerodynamics to something about 20/22-20/24.
my best with vette is 33,5xx with aero 20/35.
so probably the setup is different in order to go to 32ss
or you need to be an alien:crazy::crazy:

I'm running 20/26 aero on the Amuse 👍 Might be able to go a little lower in the rear, although I haven't spent too much time playing around with the tune.

I've been finding some nice full grids here lately especially on the :00s with plenty of quick clean racers. It's nice to see OLR is alive and kicking. I had a fun race tonight chasing after GTP_Chris. Great times good sir.

Hey,

yea was a fun race  Did try a new setup for GT LM which was ok.

I'm a little bit disappointed that there are more driver's in the road car events, rather then the racing car events.

You are right but they don't get many racing cars to play with. For instance for fuji you get only gtlm if you want to win and this is one of the most difficult cars to drive for most of the guys.

IF* , you want to win. Just drive something else to have fun, and the Amuse keeps up pretty good same for the Vette 👍

I race to win,not to come second or third...If you don't race to win then you are not a real race driver.

An excellent point Tony. When I get beaten by someone who is in an inferior car there is no danger to my inflated ego, I just dismiss them as not real race drivers.

P.S. beating GTLM's with the GT '06 is fun :)

You didn't beat me though.
