War Thunder (F2P Air/Ground combat MMO)

Have either of you browsed your program files then? In warthunder\content\res there is a boatload of stuff able to be modified and transferred.
 
Sony doesn't allow PC accounts to be used because it means purchases done on PC would carry over and that's money they lose out on.

There's no way that some "hacks" or whatever he was talking about could make their way over onto the PS4 just by sharing the same account. That's basically what he was talking about.


By the way, I use the very same account on both my PC and PS4 and I can happily switch back and forth between those systems, simply because the account was created on a PS4.
That means, truly shockingly..., I can keep the progress gained by playing War Thunder on my PC and continue with it on the PS4. Works the other way round too.

Also premium content doesn't have to be purchased separately, so that reasoning doesn't work either.

It started at 1.0, got raised to 1.3 yesterday, now it's at 1.7. I can see it going back down to 1.3 once the British hype has subsided because they're not that strong against other nations. It's just that the low tier British tanks are best at moving fast and flanking the opponent, so they lack armor, and none of them have the armor to prevent 28mm of penetration from 12.7 M2s.

Oh, and Phly is right about the British tank tree, it's just that you don't get access to the rest unless you get into the CBT or will have to wait until Gaijin release them from CBT.

CBT goes live for everyone on the 19th. Second row of Brit tanks will probably go public a couple days later, and each row a few days after the next.

I'm worried about playing the Archer. That's going to be a tank where you're going to have to park in a sniping spot and just sit there, because the tank's gun is mounted facing the rear.
 
British tanks are OP to the max... Churchill's are painful to fight against in br 4.7 -5.7 (BR in that range is very odd) and dont get me started about the 3inch gun...

I like that Gaijin fixed the ground forces economy. I don't feel like I'm losing 3x as much as I earn any more, in fact, I think I've profited today from it.

That being said...

No one knows how to teamwork.

Team with British tanks currently has a high shot at winning, and only due to no one knowing how to counter them. Once that happens, ground battles should be better.
 
Meh, Tier V German tanks still gain only 20k a match, and their repairs basically mean zero gain...

I'll have to post my rage tomorrow some time on the computer, quite lengthy.
 
Started playing tanks today with the new British tree. Kind of fun, but it feels too basic and easy. Then there's the problem of how outstandingly dumb players are. I forgot that's how the average tank driver is.
 
Took two battles to get the premium A13 MkI.

Only because the first battle I used Russians and only got 49% activity. Switched to US knowing I'd get British on my side and got 92% activity with the win.

I got it in a lucky battle in Brit team. In all others we got pretty much ROFLstomped.
 
Either you get lucky being on the Brit team, or the matchmaking derps and you end up on a Brit team, facing a Brit team, while driving something that isn't British against a team that also has things that aren't British.

As much as I had been annoyed by mixed RB air battles, mixed RB ground battles are even worse.

I wish there was a choice of "Allies vs Axis" for every mode.
