I had a reputable seller send me a car about 12 hours ago, for him it said upload successful but the car got lost to the internet.. I know the guy's legit, he did send it, so i don't know what the problem may have been..
 
The gifting system is just flat out HIT or MISS, which is reason enough for me NOT to trade ANYTHING anymore. Get whatever I want getting it from the game, period.
 
Regarding the missing 908: The recipient messaged me today saying it had turned up after 7 or so hours.

It sucks, but still 👍
 
ok so I get home from a long day of work and I decided to gift a matte balck lfa to my other account. I gifted like I would anyother car. I go to my other profile and it isnt there? I go to you main profile and see that its saying that I can gift another car..??? I tryed gifting paint color to my 2nd profile in hopes that it would make the game remember that I just sent a car didnt work just got the paint. I was reading the post about the guy guy getting a 908 7hours after it was sent. can you tell me the details of the transaction. I mean like did it say you could gift a car again or anythig funny like that?
whats the likleyhood of getting my car back?
 
I didn't check any of those things I'm afraid.
I was heading off to bed, so I just said to wait and see and deal wth it the following day.
 
Been 12 hours now missing 6 cars "this **** is ridiculous. Im not trading until I get my cars. I know the cars have been traded also because I check the history in the people who traded them and it shows that they sent the car. PD needs to do something about this.
 
Sended a SS Trueno last night, the user didn't received... sended a Chaparral other user still without receiving it. Weird.
 
I lost 2 cars 3 days ago after doing the multi-gift work around. I sent out like 6 to different people and the last 2 disappeared. So I stopped doing the multi, just sending 1 a day and no issues. I do it after midnight. I also got my BMW 12V LMP back after loaning it out. Again, sent in the wee hours. I don't know if that increases the chances of it going through, sending soon after midnight, or not. I also, on the day I sent the multi-cars with the 2 the were lost had some tuning items lost. Since then I have not. It really sucks. I am just glad I have not lost anything super valuable. All I have lost so far probably was about 100,000Cr worth of cars. Now people want to loan my cars and I normally would but now have doubts in the system.

So what now? Has that just got lost in limbo then or what?

Everyone else I've ever sent something to though has arrived ok.

ya PD has no clue how to make a game with trading. maby we should blame it on sony for not charging use a monthley fee, you can trade all day in forza 2 and 3 and never lose any cars ever. It makes me not want to play this damn game if i cant send or recieve cars. I mean come on PD this game is the king fix this to regain some of your credibility with us GTP user and the howl comunity.

So what now? Has that just got lost in limbo then or what?

update. He just messaged me. He's just received it. Took over an hour from me sending it though to reach him. At least he's got it though.
 
I did a trade earlier today. I received my car but the one I sent hasn't shown up yet. This is my 4th trade and first missing car. It was my only gift today. Man it sucks that they can't make this work properly.

Edit: Car showed up later.

I did a trade earlier today. Sent and received with no problems. I still don't understand how PD can't think of the fact that when they implement gifting, trading will be guaranteed. They should have made sure the servers were up and running PROPERLY. Is that such a hard concept to understand?
 
Server down right now for anyone? The minute I go to do my 12:00 am trade, I'm kicked off server.

sent 5 cars, lost a speed 12, bmw 2002 turbo and the motul honda .:(

I managed to send 2 successfully yesterday within about 5 hours of each other with no problems.

still those problems would never justify paying a fee to make something you can make for free in other consoles
