We need a wheel only lobby

This post makes no sense. At all.

And neither does this one.

Know what else doesn't make sense? The placement of this thread: it isn't a question, just you saying "we" need a wheel-only lobby because you've invested X amount of money, and "in the right hands" pad users apparently have an advantage.

You know what that advantage is? It's called "skill". :dopey:

First off I never said I was the worlds greatest driver, I do have some 500 or below rivals times but I am nothing special. The point I was trying to make is that in my opinion the pad is faster than the wheel and this has nothing to do with skill, It doesn't require a lot of skill to drive forza with a pad. The game puts on the optimum steering angle for the corner anyway and all you have to do is go in at the right speed. This game does require skill if your using a wheel and I wouldn't mind a lobby where I could race fellow wheel users then I know I'm on a level playing field, I don't mind being beaten by better drivers and I don't mind running midfield as long as I'm in a good race. I must admit I had just come out of an online race where I got taken out by about half the drivers when I overtook cleanly so I was pissed. I probably came across as a total idiot and for that I apolagize and I will add I never had this problem in gt5.

Pad isn't quicker, end of story.

Actually how would you know if the pad user you met isn't just a better driver??

Top 500 in rivals mode really isn't anything, when you look at even the top 20 the time can be 2 seconds apart in spec hotlaps, I have quite a few times in the top 30th but I am nowhere in alien territory.

It's definitely easier to save a car from a big slide with a pad than with an unassisted 900 degree wheel.

well yeah but if you are quick you shouldn't be sliding at all. If you are being hit left and right you should learn how to avoid other cars and pick up places, or just join a league really.

unless there are things you can't physically do with a wheel compare to a pad you really can't blame your controller options.

like i said im nothing special, but sub 500 is better than being 8000th isnt it.

Ranking isn't the important thing pal, how big your gap is to the top time, that's the matter.

If you ain't less than 102% within the top time, there are indeed many drivers who can best you online.

As a pad user, who plays the game with no assists, I can hold my own against wheel users just fine. I even win, and sometimes by quite a bit.

No such thing as no assists with a pad. There will always be a significant steering buffer.

I know mate all I was trying to say is that a wheel lobby would be a good thing to even the play up abit

It's not just about pad/wheel..

If you have the wheel <= 270, things are fine, I have no issues being very competitive.. there are some advantages to using a pad of course, I know that some circuit/car combinations when hotlapping the advantage is tangible, but then on other circuits, I'm sure the opposite is the same..

If you use the new patched 900 degree steering, then I can see that, yes, you are going to find it difficult to not get the car very out of control.. it takes much more effort then before and being consistently quick is a degree harder (but not impossible)..

I can't see the harm in T10 doing a 900 degree wheel only lobby (no point doing it for <=270), even if the audience is quite small..
