WEC S2, R9, Nurburgring GP/F Finale!

Hello all, I am wondering if I might be able to extend an invitation to a non-competing series to this one, for any LMP drivers in WEC to join the GTP Le Mans Prototype Series. Obviously if I were to post this and then hold the races at a competitive time to this WEC schedule would be very rude, and will not be the case.

If any WEC LMP drivers are interested in representing the WEC in our series, I will make sure not to interfere with the scheduling of this series. Thanks for your time, and sorry if anyone takes exception.

Sorry about the warm up lap error,when memto got into his position in front of me,I(for some reason) decided to follow him,my bad.I do not remember an incident with a backmarker from my point of view,if it was at blanchimont was the only close call I had with anybody,but from my POV I didn't make contact,I suspect my connection may have caused that.Sorry for text box use,I just wanted to inform you why I was leaving.I would have hoped to watch the race replay,but I got a blank screen when I exited,so I just turned the PS3 off.

We think what happened on lap 4 is you could not see plotnik on track and therefore had no reason to suspect he was in front of you. Looking at the evidence we think it is a technical malfunction.

This is not an advertising bored for other series, there is a specific thread "Interest Checks & Competition Discussions" which is designed to gain interest, I appreciate you wanted to develop your series but this is not the place to do it.

Really sorry about that one Richyboy, I really didn't think I was going to touch you at the time. I shouldn't have tried to pass when I went wide at Blanchimont though, you wouldn't have been expecting me to come past from that side.

Not a problem Zovo, it happened right near the pitlane so I didn't lose to much time and it didn't effect my overall position. Like I said after the race I did not see you coming so I stuck to my normal line, if I had seen you I would of left more room.

I'll end up saying this many more times but i'll start now, I hate Daytona, its such a nasty, flat and horrible track. Despite this early testing in the Toyota has yielded a 1:30.306. How's this comparing to other people?

I love Daytona. It could use many improvements but the overall atmosphere if the track is awesome in my opinion. Hopefully with the time dynamic on GT6 it will be even better! As for laps, I haven't made a single one yet.

I did a 1:29.2 in practice mode offline so I think 1:30.4 is my target at the moment for the event conditions.

I got to ride in a rally car once, it's basically Motocross on four wheels and twice as fast. Still crazy I was yelling "holy 🤬" half of the time. Have fun and good luck!

The only part i hate of Daythona is the bustop chicanne on GT5, i hope they change it to the other layout for GT6, and also the grip reductio effect when hitting thw grass makes everiting worst, i'm glad PD fixed thad for GT6, at least in the Demo it was ok.

For me I hate the first corner, the whole infield section with its long duration corners where you to be so gentle on power and the fact its too narrow AND that stupid chicane, so pretty much 3/4 of the lap for me. Lapping GT traffic is going to be an absolute nightmare in the first sector.

It's so easy to outbrake yourself at turn 1,10 meters too late,your on the runoff,and if you miss the apex at the the quick chicane,it ruins the rest of the section,miss the first one,run wide on the exit,going offline kills your grip so I expect some will get caught out by this.

It's so easy to lose/gain about 0.7 of a second just in that first corner alone, it really is a tricky one.

Unfortunately with the, shall we say, fluctuating number of participants in Rising Stars the test never went ahead.

There will however be a test session at 9pm BST on Wednesday next week as usual for WEC Main.

It wasn't anything to do with the numbers, it was to do with me getting caught up with something and missing the allocated time for the test session
