Well the PS broke just before going back to college so I'm guessing it was a God send. (Can get more work done). The plan now is just to wait until May (when school ends) and then I'll have the whole summer to race (4 months) so for sure if there's a space open then put my name on it.

What ever happens mate your always welcome ;)

So... WEC season 3 comes to an end this saturday. LMP is sorted for P1 and P2 but it all needs to be sorted out from there down. GTE is still wide open and will be coming down to the wire.

Nurburgring GP has always provided some amazing racing regardless so I'm expecting some amazing racing.

Please everyone get the time to join us for the final round!!!!

TRACK LIMITS!
As far as track limits go the rules for the following corners are as follows,

  • TURN 1: All Exit maybe used as far as the wall,
  • TURN 2: Upon corner exit there is a green paint on the ground, It is expected that 2 wheels remain inside that at all times when running wide, the 3X rule will apply, Be frugal!
  • TURN 4: Once again all the exit can be used as far as the wall,
  • TURN 10: Run as wide as you like, it is deemed that its a disadvantage
  • TURNS 13 AND 14: The Chicane, Attack it as much as you like providing 2 wheels remain within track limits, Track limits include the kerbing on corner apex's,
PIT ENTRY AND EXIT!
  • PIT ENTRY: The pit entry commitment point is the kerbing that extends through turn 15 and doubles back on the outside of pit entry, Crossing that will be standard pit entry penalty,
  • PIT EXIT: Standard pit exit procedure, But we are only worried about the second white line which becomes the blend line on track, This line extends from pit entry to pit exit right a long the pit wall,
INTRODUCING P2!
As stated on the GTP WEC Facebook page, Johnnyb1990 and Memto89 will be competing for P2 honors at the Nurburgring, Memto89 will be driving the Pescarolo Hybride and Johnnyb1990 will be running in the Pescarolo Peugeot, Looking forward to see how it goes with them on track, Finally we get to see the Pescarolo's on track in a competitive nature,

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE!

GTP WEC Season 3 thread is up on GTPlanet, We are open to 48 drivers, Starting in March 2014 on GT6!
Here is the link,

Can't wait that long? well we have that covered too, A Group C series is also available,
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...r1-daytona-november-23rd-5-spots-left.289604/

WHAT TO EXPECT?

With GTP WEC S3 being on GT6, things to expect are,
  • New Cars
  • New Circuits
  • New Faces
  • New Teams
  • A whole new era,
With the R18 TDI, Brands Hatch, Silverstone, Bathurst, BMW Z4 GT3, Nissan DeltaWing, Mercedes Benz SLS GT3 confirmed and Interlagos being rumored to be included to GT6, The future of the World Endurance Championship is barely scratching the surface to its future, Its going to be a sad end to GT5 but the future is looking better and better, Hope to see you all there, And on that note, I shall leave you with these, The future doesn't seem to be that unrealistic at all, Enjoy!

PORSHE LMP2 RS SPYDER AT BATHURST!

TOYOTA P1 HYBRID TEST, NORDSCHLEIFE

GOOD LUCK THIS WEEK GUYS, MOST OF ALL HAVE FUN!
SEE YOU AT THE RACE!

Nice brief Dave! I'm looking forward to seeing how racing with three classes goes, hopefully it will help create more of the fantastic racing we've seen so far. Thanks for the Group C mention, for those who haven't looked yet, I encourage you to do so. But be quick, only 4 spots left for the opening round!

Good little test last night lads, got a 1.55.5 out of my viper in the last race. I hope to get into the 54's tonight.

Yep ninners tyre wear does seem high, got about 15 laps out of the softs before they fell of the cliff.

Which means us LMP's won't be lasting long on our tyres, after 8laps on mediums, grip goes away quite badly even if the tyre has plenty of life left, seems pirelli have swapped tyres with michelin for this round.

With absense of the 908s I will not be happy with anything other than a win.

Let's hunt down Zovo for 3rd!

I really hope we'll get a big grid tonight, have a proper send off! Dunno how I'll cope without multi-class racing for 5 months!

Are there any GTE cars left?

BTW, my PSN is driftking18594.

Perfect timing, we've just heard that our 'Vette C5.R driver can't make it. Reckon you can get it ready in 40 mins?

Add memto89 to your psn list. Rules are the same as the Group C thread you also signed up for, don't be afraid to ask if you're unclear about anything.

I think I could get a basic tune ready in that time.

Also please get your incident reports in ASAP!!!!!! I want to get the stewarding done ASAP so that we can announce the champions!!!!

I had no idea where my pace went. I was doing 1:55s in quali, and then suddenly I was struggling to break the 2:00 barrier. My pace problems only went away with about 10 laps to go, when suddenly I was back into the 1:56s and 57s. :(

I had a great Race with Zov last night, we both seemed to have a few unlucky moments but ended up just seconds apart in the last 15 laps or so.

It's a shame I got taken out by a GT car on the last lap though. I had a really good chance of getting on the podium :/

Fantastic final race in GTE, so many great battles. good win adam you had some good pace in the Audi.

My race started really well, got a great start and made up a lot of positions going into turn 1, not sure what happened to all the GTE cars infront of me and plotnik but we was 1 and 2 at the first turn, I managed to pass him on lap 1 and was leading by a nice margin till adam overtook plotnik and started hunting me down. from then on my race fell apart (maybe the pressure got to much for me lol) started making lots of small mistakes and spun a couple of times, had some contact with other drivers (nin and dave) sorry about those incidents lads, completely my fault imo. it was nice to see some of the new guys going well and im looking forward to seeing you in season 3 for some more great battles 👍.

Big thanks to all the people involved in WEC, the organisers, stewards, drivers, Autosport, people who make the highlights vids, photographers, you all make this an awesome series to race in .

It has been a very very nice season and im looking forward to the new era that will be coming in season 3 on GT6, 48 drivers, it is gonna be epic, I cant wait :). thank you all.

:gtpflag::gtpflag::gtpflag:

Don't worry about me, you never touched me, but we did have a few moments, when I thought you would stay on the left, then you moved to it, and I touched the grass flicking me to the other side of the track which allowed oalith on soft tyres to get a run on me, and earlier when you ran off when I passed, sorry if that angered you.

Anyway despite dramas with you and my pedals, I still managed to have a comfortable gap by the finish.

@DK I noticed you were on the mediums for 75mins which was nearly double the minimum you can run which may explain your lack of pace, you used softs for the first 25mins and last 25mins.

Pace Lap: 3:11.185

Lap Warmup Lap - Driftking18594: Driving standards
Verdict: Warning
Becareful on the warmup lap, all the off track moments and use of the handbrake could have ended someones race and your own before it had even started, it would not have been the first time we have had a are killed on the warmup lap.

Lap Warmup Lap - Long-haird-lout: Driving standards
Verdict: Warning
Please do not drive on pause while on warm up, we have the breaks before the race so people can sort everything out before we get going.

Lap Warmup lap - Nin-Chin: Driving standards
Verdict: warning
You are the leader of the pack and therefore must remain at a constant speed until full acceleration, speeding up caused people to jump start and almost cause crashes further down the field.

Lap 2 - TDZDave - Massacre--Goor: Avoidable contact
Verdict: 60 secs

Lap 8 - TDZDave: Pit Line (Pit in)
Verdict: 30 secs

Lap 9 - Chozza_32: Pit Line (Pit in)
Verdict: Warning

Lap 13 - driftking18594: Pit Line (Pit out)
Verdict: 30 secs

Lap 13 - chozza_32 - ZovomirVanBarsten: Avoidable contact
Verdict: Warning

Lap 13 - driftking18594 - long-haired-lout: Avoidable contact
Verdict: 60 secs
You are the car behind and it is your responsibility to take into account the faster cars.

Lap 20 - TDZDave: Pit Line (Pit in)
Verdict: 30 secs

Lap 26 - Driftking18594: Pit Line (Pit in)
Verdict: 30 secs

Lap 27 - memto89: Rejoin blocking
Verdict: 60 secs
Adam manages to escape without damage however as a steward, and competing in an unclassified class, you are accountable to a higher standard.

Lap 27 - Oalithgow: Pit Line (Pit in)
Verdict: 30 secs

Lap 30 - TDZDave: Pit in line
Verdict: 30 secs

Lap 36 - Long-haired-lout: Pit Line (Pit out)
Verdict: 30 secs

Lap 36 - revetion: Pit Line (Pit in)
Verdict: 30 secs

Lap 36 - Massacre-goor: Pit Line (Pit in)
Verdict: 30 secs

Lap 38 - GTPL_Plotnik: Pit in line
Verdict: 30 secs

Lap 42 - Driftking18594: Pit Line (Pit in)
Verdict: 30 secs

Lap 43 - Duke-adam: Pit Line (Pit in)
Verdict: 30 secs

Lap 45 - TDZDave - richyboy2mil: Accident
Verdict: NFA
While Richy does slide into your car and knock you into the gravel, it is a risk you assume when trying to pass side by side through the Schumacher S.

Lap 49 - Nin-Chin: Pit Line (Pit in)
Verdict: 30 secs

Lap 51 - driftking18594 - TDZDave: Blue Flags
Verdict: Warning
After having let TDZDave through on lap 50, you then perform a repass on a car a lap ahead. Fortunately you did not significantly hinder TDZDave otherwise you would have faced a penalty.

Lap 64 - Long-haired-lout: Pit Line (Pit out)
Verdict: 30 secs

Lap 64 - long-haired-lout - Massacre--Goor: Racing incident
Verdict: Warning
This is a fairly clumsy move, you should have waited until after the kink to see what the GTE traffic was doing. Fortunately, it seems that no real harm comes to Massacre until he makes a braking error into the following corner, so this is a racing incident, not a penalty.

Its been an amazing season, i'm really proud to have been a part of something so special.

Thank you to everyone involved, thank you to the guys that have helped me along the way and a HUGE thank you to everyone who has taken part, without you guys all this would not have happened!!!

SEE YOU IN SEASON 3!!!!!

That shouldn't result in me dropping into the 2'00s and 2'01s. :indiff:

I'm sorry about my sloppy driving last night.

I'm sorry about my sloppy driving last night.
No worries mate tbh it would seem most people face the wrath of the stewards in the first few rounds until they get the hang of things and then it just becomes silly mistakes that get pinged

I was so close to that trophy at the end there, gave my all, unfortunately with louts pit penalty and chozza non finish, the lowest he could get was 3rd I gave my all in the end, I was calculating throughout, at the end he was 3rd and I was thinking 'damn it, I was looking good' anyway it's been a great season in the 6 races I've entered in, 3 poles, 5 podiums, 2 wins, 1 fastest lap, 1 DNF, thanks to the organizers and drivers, you really made this special.

Just some images that i got this morning
the start at the last race

And what has to be my most favourite overtake I did, one of the deciding moves from Madrid... To make this over take you have to have full trust in the guy your overtaking to know what he is doing haha

Circuito de Madrid_7.jpg

The last pic reminds me of Monza after my 'special pass' on you assisted by a backmarker, I felt so smug when I did that move :).
