if it helps, the VCD is at 10%

I kinda made the settings so that I could get the feeling similar to the RUF 3400 we used in one of the previous weeklies in this same track

No actually, that does not make a difference. (I dont know many people who set the vcd to anything but 10%)

Im thinking about the second of difference that occurs between t1 & t2... that's where Im getting killed.

Maybe I will get to take a look at odp's replay at the end of the week and see where Im going wrong?

btw, odp, I can't get a third person view of the replay either... so I want to ask everyone...

Do you have a sharkport?
Is your 206's views messed up some how?

If everyone has got a mess up in the 206, then it is possible that we have just found a glitch in the game, but if it is only sharkporters with a messed up 206, then we may have just found the problem with mks/sharkport work. :irked:

I hope it's the game. :D
Yo! this is an edit. :D

Just found my problem and cut it out... where ever it was. (still don't know)

But somehow I managed to cut my time down to a 1.20.0 and it was still dirty. (and not the, I plowed through the corner and slammed the wall while keeping up my speed kind of dirty... Im talking a face to the curb slow you down turn sort of dirty)

So with a bit more work and patience... 1.19.0 may be possible.

Kent, there indeed exists a bug on the Peugeot 206 rally car where you cannot use third person view ( I think for replays only ). We had a similar problem during a TORC race, where the lead car was a Peugeot 206 rally car and there was a close call of AI contact with it. But we could not use third person on the 206 to make sure. And we then found out it was the same for everyone else, and that this was indeed a bug in GT3. Hope this helps :)

I've got the behind the car view inna replay.

Thanks t13r,

I just went back and put down some laps and luckily, the analyzer will show you the long distance third person view, but when you switch to see the close up third person... nothing, it's in first person.
No big deal though... but I'm glad to know that it is the game and not some dumb mistake I made using mks or the xport.

Anyway, I finally got something clean, but it has a ton to come off, so I will be back once I make progress in that direction.
I will also post some settings just in case anyone is interested.

btw, are any of the div 2 and div 3 people feeling like this car is just a bit too drifty?

If so, I think the settings may be the reason... I was on settings that felt good, but I changed them some, grip went up, drift went down, and the time went down with it... sooo... I will post up settings eventually if you guys want. :D

ok, improved my time, dont ask me how I got the T1

14.910
55.497
1'19.165

I was so nervous and tight that I almost screwed it up, but I guess a miracle was the only thing that saved me from the walls:D

Geeze my hands are still shaking:lol:

wow what a surprise, I thought I linked it all on that lap, but watching the analyzer, I lost like .2 to .1 secs on some sectors, and it summed up like about .8 or .9 secs left.

my previous best had some really big sectors with times that I lost like .3 secs or even .4 sometimes...hmm very challenging track to link it all up I must say.

Alright heinrich,

I am glad you are doing well, but for real. Quit the triple posting now!

Got that. :D
good.
outside of the wrs it's up to you... but in this joint Im a mod. :mischievous:

So try and watch post quality, content, and as mentioned above... double posting.

There was a total of 20 minutes between your first and third post... so I want you to look at the post, find the little edit button on the bottom right of the post... and you guessed it, Learn to use the edit feature.

Don't get upset or anything either. All is good, just letting you know in a way that makes everything clear, this way I will never have to do it again, right?
btw, there are times that a double post is ok... i.e. mistakes or forgotten attachments... but the above is a no-no.

cool, catch you later. hopefully I will improve some by then.;)

ok man, I'm lazy to use the edit stuff but I guess I have to learn :D

I have some sorta fame of spamming in other boards, sorry:embarrassed:

Starting to get this car tuned up. Best clean lap:

16.255 59.093 1:23.768

A few tweaks and more than a few laps later:

16.102 58.297 1:22.643

Yay, NTSC only.
party.gif

BTW, the 206 isn't the only car with that glitch.
IIRC, one of the Imprezzas also has it.

I've run out of time. Duty calls.
I had another one of those, "I thought I'd submit, but it's dirty, so I'll go run some errands, come back and run the same lap time again", things.

15.237
56.224
79.296 submitted

Realistically, there's a ½sec. still in it.

Good luck and have funn. :) :)

only about 45 miles last night, chopped 1.7 sec off my best time. Best sectors below (not all one lap unfortunately);

T1 15.6
T2 57.7
T3 1'22.1

I tuned my gears a bit more, i think i found the final ratios...worked on suspension which still needs a little love but I'm getting there...

The F1 season starts tonight (well today in AU) with the AUGP practice on tonight at 11pm on speed....go scuderia go!!!!!!

I'm sittin' this week out. I got started playing the original Final Fantasy (NES) and that's a somewhat absorbing game. I'll see ya'll in week 56.

Maybe next time. :D

Nah, my bad. I have been working so hard the last cople of days that I actually thought it was Monday in stead of Tuesday. So I was a good couple of hours late. I'll try to pay more attention this week :embarrassed:

Okay, first rounds on this huge circuit. I ordered biomechanic implants, but it seems like I am also going to need a memory upgrade, since it is very hard to remember all the lines around all corners. Phew :)

Anyway, to encourage you all to drive, because you are not going to be last, here are my times for you to laugh about. They'll improve, don't worry ;)

T1 17.866
T2 1'02.082
T3 1'27.471

Right now I am trying to get T2 under a minute. T1 can clearly gain from learning the chicance after the first left hander, I keep missing that, and the car overturns to the right. I managed to get it right once and it really felt good.

These times are all "dirty", so I need to work on that too.

I set the car up to be stiff and low, it's a fairly flat circuit, and I think it works. It driver A LOT better than the viper  .

The only upgrade available for my 206 WRC (won it at the rally stages) was a stage 2 turbo kit. Bought the T8's and it really sticks, while still having well over 400hp for a little car. Nice.

Some corners at SS 11 reverse are tricky, because you think you are at the apex, and then the corner tightens because I didn't remember it was a 180 in stead of a 90. I'll have that memory upgrade now, please

Have fun! (I am..)

Did someone say FF? hehe

I've tried using the setup I used for SS5 Wet, though I'm surprised that those settings do not seem to be the best option. Since the track surface is identical, just dry. eh...

I have'nt bothered recording my lap times yet as anything so far would be a pointless submission.

PC seems to be up and running for the moment but I havent raced at all this week. I might give it a try tomorrow but times will be slooooww

Good luck to you all - and I hope the issue of the view doesnt affect your times too much !

T1: 15'395
T2: 56'609
T3: 120'451

I can't complain about my times so far at all, I've only run about ten good laps with the current setup.

Once I get the chance to tweak things I'll post up some settings. Of course, I'm not a renowed tuner.

:)

Hmmm.. I haven't been around for a while, haven't even played GT3 for at least 3 weeks. School is a pain in the ass right now. But anyways, I think i'll give it a try this week.. sounds fun.

Congrats on the promotion Kents 👍 Good stuff

*edit*
Two setups, and about 20 laps later.. T's are:
T1: '15.390
T2: '56.690
T3: 1'20.526

crappity crap!
runnig short of time and busy all w/end...
gotta find time for this.. maybe monday morn

Alright guys...

I've gotten to run quite a bit now and have a dirty lap that is about 2 seconds faster than my only clean save. I want to match that dirty lap but I don't know if I have the time for it.

I should get in some laps this weekend, but I can't say for sure since it is mid-term and I have exams all week next week.

With any luck I will manage. :D

I should also mention that I found a great race for next week. I tested it today and there were no problems. So next week should be a trouble free fun race. ;)

And you guys... Don't forget to get your times in to me on time. :mischievous:

9 more laps...slower sectors but 1.1 sec faster "clean" overall time...go figure....

T1 16.1
T2 57.7
T3 1'21.5

more tonight....

EDIT:

More indeed...23 more laps, I think I have the car in it's final tune now...

T1 15.662
T2 57.529
T3 1'21.389

I think if I work on 2 corners in T2 I realistically can shave another .8'ish off my final time, which would put me well below my goal time

I'm done for tonight, off to play some GT4P before F1 Quailifying....

Can anyone post a map of the track up? I'm intrested to know how people are approaching the first S corners and the double left before the tunnel.

well, 15 laps in, and I'm happy. Car attitude feels good. Now to work on the gearing.

15.910
57.830
1'22.115

[edit]Found some better settings ;)
15.742
57.538
1'21.017[/edit]
1'52.306

Uh oh.. Scuderia got promoted a week early. :D
