Week 67: A Daily Driver Race?

Nah... don't look too much into the ITR, she's not worth it... I have narrowed it down to two competitors... one mystery competitor and the TRD. The TRD is a hoot more fun to drive than the ITR, and the car I think I am going with produced the following lap:

50.947
1'32.106
 
Sorry for my ignorance guys...

I never really go into details about the cars... so with this race any ff car with a power to weight ratio higher than 3.000 is ok?

I still have no idea which car to use..... they need a Pulsar sss turbo in there, so i could see if my specs on my real car would work in the game

Ran it in the other day when I was talking about it, and the sad thing about that is that I used up too much of my play time to get that car broken in... all for nothing too (since I don't think I would be running it anyway).

But then again, for that matter, I don't know how much time I will have to run this race, and so... :indiff:

I did get in a few laps the other day right after I broke the integra in... ended up doing the runs in the fto, and a few in the trd while I was at it.

Nothing promising in terms of times, but still managed to put down something in the 1'35 area.
But nothing fast.

I think you will do just fine with the reinstatement of division status.
You were a div 2 runner to begin with and you did just fine last week, so I am sure you will be podiuming in div 2 in no time. :D

Hey guys! I'll be running this week and all SIm weeks. My time to spend on the Weekly is limited now-a-days and i won't waste it on Arcade car races (which are lame). Give me a Sim car and any circuit and I'll be here, even if I loath the combo. If it is Sim I'll race. Arcade I'll watch the grass grow.

But this race....rocks....great circuit (one of my fav) and great car choices. I like FF cars and like PW/R limit weeklies the best.

i spent about an hour last night playing with a few cars, got 5 cars between 3.000 and 3.040, I definately found somethings that aren't working for me on this race.

I have a clean lap with a 1'35.6xx T3 with a car I love, but don't know if there is anymore to give in it. I'll move on this weekend to a few others.

I missed racing last week! Glad to be here this week.
 
After more testing w/ the same car, here are my times:

T1- 26.456
T2- 52.981
T3- 1:35.362

The big drop in times is due to running a softer tire than before. ;)
 
Nothing better than 1'36 on T2 so far, but in fact I did more settings and testing on the 1000m run than racing on SSR11.
Lupo and Beetle are now in about the same time (T2 = 1'36) and I'm starting to agree with Famine. 382hp is too much to control the gas pedal in the winding parts of the track.
I think I'll go with the Lupo unless cars I haven't tested yet turn out to be better.
I just saved a clean lap with a full modded Mini (T2 around 1'45) in case I have nothing else worth submitting :D :D :D

Did a 1'34.681, but that lap had one wall touch. :(
Well, at least I know, what's possible, and it provided me with a faster ghost. :)
 
I still cant decide on what car to use. I've tested most of the FF cars. One that I cant test is the TRD cuz apparently I sold it a couple months ago and forgot about it. :( I dont think I'm going to do well at all this week.
 
A quick test with a car I won't be using yielded a 1'34.0 - but I may have to submit the time as GT4P arrives tomorrow... :D
 
Guys, If I don't enter my time no later in tomarrow, I may not enter this one. But i'm running some faster times. Just trying to make them faster.
 
Unlike what I said 2 days ago, I finally chose a small and lightweight car.
My best is around :
T1 = 25.9
T2 = 53.0
T3 = 1'35.3

When I compare this to Niels' or RVD's I just realize that I'm constantly losing time on sectors 2, 3 and 4. :mad: That means more practice, but GT4:P is there in front of me, not unwrapped yet... because I'm afraid I'll spend all week-end on it...

My Time has been confirmed and sent. I won't be here next week, so hopefully you'll don't do anything amazing.
 
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this race! Did I mention I love this combo? The weekly needs more races like this!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a few 10ths off my goal time, still have yet to hit a "perfect lap" but have multiple "good to great" laps saved that are all clean and within .2 +/- of each other.

I tested 6 cars, got three too good times and finally found one that works in all sectors, but isn't optimtal in all.... but it is a comprimise this week I think...you can't have it all.

More tomorrow...I'm saving my recent sectors this week until Monday....

WSSSUP... do you realize how flying fast a 1'32.2xx is?

That seems pretty fast for a division 2 guy, not that it nevers happens (division 2 beating division 1 that is) but hopefully you are playing by the rules. If so great time... glad I finally have some minutes to pour into this race again tonight.

Exactly my thoughts...

I was a racer in the weekly before I got into this mod position. So naturally, when I see a time that fast, I am just in awe, not to mention a little curious.

FIRST off, let's have the poster speak for himself. WSSSUP I think it is, :D
Just give us an idea of what car and all that when you turn in your time. Also make sure there wasn't an error in the typing process.
I have a hunch about this situation... you're not using the XSARA are you? :lol:

That said.
My thoughts,

Now I know that every racer here runs by the rules but I would be foolish to act as if that is always the only path racers take.

We have only had a hand full of cheaters to be found in this series, I hope it stays that way.

Of course, don't forget that everyone has analyzer data, and even though it is not perfect, we have used it more than once to check a racer's lap.

btw, this reminds me...

A long time back Mr. P and I ran 2nd(P) and 3rd(I) when a newb that started in div 3 came in first (tuscan at trial mtn. reverse).

We got data from him and the poo hit the fan. He was caught and the week's winner was a cheat.

What brings this up you ask...

Looking into old car/ track combos I found that week's results.
Hope that never happens again. :D
 
A pm was sent to Go kents with my time....

Which as i stated to kent... my times were a bit fast re getting the rules mixed up....Power /weight. I had the Honda integra fully kitted, not realising it affects my p to w ratio... my mistake...


However the time submitted is about 2 seconds slower in the t3 so it was round a 134 135 t3, in the Honda integra.....

Why the hell would i want to cheat........ hmmmmmm.... to feel good about myself.... nup.

Its just a game to me, which i enjoy playing..... however the enjoyment can go very quickly when the finger gets pointed at you......

An x-port is on the cards (thanx UB57 for the info on them), maybe then people might see that i aint no damn cheat.
 
Thanks for your honesty. If you don't believe that the cheats exist you should maybe look up "banned" through the search engine for a few of the sites. Also, feel free to re--read my post, I never once said CHEATER. That is because if there is anything I have learned it is how to wisely expose one.

You however misinterpretted something, hardly cheating by any stretch of the definition, and believe me, your will be like damoung many members for being honest.
 
Tried a variety of cars, and settled on something towards the middle of the range. Best clean lap so far:

25.935 52.678 1:35.129

Missed some important rumbles there, so I'm sure I can get into the 1:34's tomorrow.

I'm passing on this one, I've been busy with other GT3 challenges this week. See you all sometime in the future, next week, 2 weeks, who knows? But I shall return eventually. I have to practice up for MLG Chicago at some point so I don't embarass myself too badly:lol: Later:cool:
