Theme: Gran Turismo 4; You can edit/chop pictures from Gran Turismo 4. 👍

Edited: Friday, 28 January 2005.

Question: Do these have to be made completely from scratch, or can they have photos within them? (Modified and 'choped, of course.) For example, the tire in the background of your avatar is (I'm assuming) from a photo that's been tweaked in PS – is something like that acceptable for Abstracts?

I should've made that clear. You can use an image, then edit/chop it in PS and use that as an entry. 👍

In general, it should have something to do with Gran Turismo 4; symbols, photos, and cars from the game. As long as the photos are from Gran Turismo 4 itself, and not of a real-life car that's in Gran Turismo 4. It's all good. :)

Excellent question, Sage!

Edit:

Just finished my final entry. :)

Okey dokey, here's something I quickly slapped together:

(Sorry the file size is so big, but I couldn't get a JPG export to handle the correct canvas color.)

Yeah, that was the one thing I was unsure of. I wanted to incorporate "GT" or "Gran Turismo" somehow, but it doesn't look like there's any decent way to do it.

It would have been even cooler if that was a transperant background Sage.

Nonetheless, it's still complete ownage, you too Slick!

It is transparent. Are you using firefox?

Yeah, it should appear to be transparent in Firefox.

Anyway, I've changed it to address the GT text issue (though now it's a bit difficult to find… maybe that's a good thing).

It needs a thumbtack in one of the top corners.
guess who has my vote? :D

It needs a thumbtack in one of the top corners but I'm not in the mood to draw one up.
👍 You could always use tape… that's really easy to draw. :D If you want to see some nice tacks, there's always MacThemes for some inspiration.

Tape, is for those lacking talent :P! Oh wait, Windbags has it!

Thanks for reminding me about those tacks, I complete forgot! I redrew them and failed miserably. Although they aren't at the right angle to make the postcard look "real" I'm not flustered. After all this is an abstract competition…

Lastly, sUn's avatar is Cosmic's old one, it's an image from the GT4 Tokyo Games Show Trailer. I take it you never saw it and therefore suggest you do!

Wow! ALPHA, that's amazing! But, it's not coming out transparent like Sage's.

Here's what I see;

Oh, and seriously, I never knew Cosmic used this picture/frame whatever you wanna call it.

Oh, you're already seen the new design? :) (I couldn't put tacks there, because it's supposed to be hard plastic.)

I don't touch .wmvs… they're the work of Satan.

Because I can, Imageshack.us is my homie!

Now with tacks! For those who want it, the original image.
