Just curious, have any of the staff members thought of starting WRS on FP like back on GTPlanet?

I just wanted to ask Terronium, who's in charge of the back end exactly? I was thinking of porting my GTP_WRS design and make a Forza one but I don't know who's in charge so I can be kept in the loop for all of this

Strictly speaking, that would be me, however, I wouldn't have been able to wrap my head around it had it not been for several other mods. So for all intents and purposes it's pretty much (well, almost) the same staff involved with the WRS over at GTP.

That brings up another question. Will we be getting an adapted version of the GTP OLR?
I'd be happy to help draft one up if need be. But obviously we wouldn't be able to make a firm outline until every one has more experience with the specifics of racing in FM so I guess we'll see how this would all come about soon enough.

Is there an option to put just your best lap on your storefront?
(Haven't checked out those options much yet)

You can upload the entire replay to your 'front. Whether you do multiple restarts to get a good, fast lap in, or just run successive laps is at your discretion. I think, like Forza 3, there's a 30-45 minute cap on the replays though.

No, seriously, I think there will be. My immediate brainchild of sorts is the WRS though, although I see no reason why an FM OLR couldn't exist here.

I just have no knowledge of how exporting replays works or the anything like that with Forza so wanted to make sure. I'm assuming you will wait a bit before starting it to prepare, let the site grow and give people a chance to learn and play the game.

I am very interested in joining the WRS when all is ready. I was very big into it with GT4 and loved it. I just have one issue/problem/question. I don't have xbox live at the moment because of my current internet situation. I am currently on a limited usage per month Mifi through Verizon and signing online with my xbox will burn it up in a heartbeat. Would I still beable to participate in the WRS? Are there other options in posting my replays? Thanks in advance.

Not sure if FM4 is like FM3 was in this regard since I currently have gold but in FM3 you couldn't access the storefront at all unless you had gold.

Opening details for the WRS should be (there's a mess of planning involved so I'm not promising this at all) up by month's end, and the event itself should be ready to go live by the end of January; just to give enough time for any patches to be released, more events, or whatever the case may be.

If any of you need help I'd be more than willing to assist. I'm pretty experienced in running time trials and series and am quite familiar with the WRS from GTP and its rules.
If nothing else, I'm a pretty nifty graphic artist and can draft up some work in that way.

So it sounds like we will need XBL Gold to upload replays for verification.
Just to give everyone a heads up, especially those like me who don't like paying for Live but want to participate, Best Buy will have 3 months XBL Gold for $8 on BlacK Friday. I may try to pick up a 2 or 3 so I can participate in WRS.
